Disaster dry cleaning at One Price Cleaners in Tallahassee. Ruined my scarf during their cleaning process then offered no recourse when I showed the obvious damage upon pick up. First, I would not bring a torn scarf for dry cleaning (wool & silk) what’s the point. Second, I was told at pick up, 90 lbs are dry cleaned together. A fragile scarf with other heavy things with buttons and hooks, uniforms and alike. Third, I asked before I left it, if I should hand wash or dry clean like the tag says. I was told I probably should follow directions. I am heartbroken because this was one of my favorites and now have at least 4 holes in it. If they were unable to use due care when cleaning, they had the right to refuse to clean.Business response

Thank you for your memo - We explained to the customer that we followed the manufactures specifications for cleaning the scarf. Additionally, the scarf was an older garment with previous damage (Holes). Again, although we followed the labeled cleaning instructions the garment did not hold up to being cleaned. It's unreasonable to request a refund, if do to the customer's garments age and condition it did not hold up to being processed. It's the sole responsibility of the customer to decide to bring a garment into our store and request for it to be processed, which this customer decided to take action. They make the decision to request for an item to be cleaned. We processed and pressed the garment as requested by the customer.
I'm sorry to see the customer is broken hearted, unfortunately all textiles have a life expectancy. Possibly the scarf was at the end of its usefulness.
