This company is threatening to repossess my car claiming for no insurance I have insurance always had insurance had insurance when I drove off the lot by law I seem that they have several complaints against them about the same situation. I’m feeling like it’s some scam that it’s going on. I had this vehicle for two months payment on time I sent proof of insurance which I have in text messages from the texting me after work hours seems a bit odd this company needs to investigate it’s to many complaints about the same thing they are stealing ppl money selling cars and taking them back claiming no insurance when it’s not trueInitial Complaint

Bought a Nissan Rogue from Sunshine Auto in October 2023. Started making payments to the loan company New Link Finance. My loan was sold to New Credit Acceptance in November 2023. Between October and January 2024, I made extra payments. In February 2024, I received a message from New Credit Acceptance stating I had a payment due 2/2. According to my records my next payment wasn't due till 3/15. After going back and forth with New Credit Acceptance, they stated that New Link Finance put a note in my records stating that those extra payments that I made went to fees, etc. This is not true. I had already paid those things to Sunshine Auto on my credit card. Now New Link isn't answering their phone or returning my messages. I am out those 4 payments ($250 x 4 = $1000) and now behind on my car payments. I didn't want to make another payment till I figured out the issue. I just want them to contact New Credit Acceptance and take this note out of my file so I can have my payments be corrected.Business response

******* ******** account with New Link Finance was opened on October 13, 2013. This customer's account was active and in good standing throughout the time her account was turned over to Amercian Credit in December 2023.
New Link Finance did not service this customer during the time frame of the customer's complaint. Therefore, this letter has been addressed in error.

I am rejecting this response because: They did not address the issue. The issue is that they put a note into my file about some of the payments were made for fees. This is not true. My new loan company would not assist me because of the note they said New Link added to my account. The issue is New Link needs to contact the American Credit and remove the note. American Credit is saying payments that I made to New Link wasn’t applied correctly.

I was given a pay-off amount on October 6,2021. I paid it the next day. After not receiving my car title I called Sunshine Auto back. They also have New Look Motors on the print out and Newlink Motors as the finance company to make the payments out to. these 3 companies are the same bussiness. The company claimed they had received a charge back that was not included in the payoff, that was from 6/21 and from 8/21. Now the payoff print out was done on 10/5/21. I paid the additional $440.00 that was listed as a contract balance and $476.13, that they said were fees because of the charge backs. The 476.13 was not listed in the contract and also they still have not released the lien on my title as of today 11/22/21.
