He came to my house days later and we discussed the work I needed: put tile on the floor and a basic kitchen remodeling. On 11/6/2022, *** ********* gave me an estimate for the work and we signed the invoice/contract (Invoice **** to get started. We agreed on 50% in advance and 50% upon completion. On 11/9/2022, the floor project began; it went slowly. The workers didn’t come on a schedule and there were setbacks (*** ********* was dealing with family matters or he was busy with other projects). The bottom kitchen cabinets were removed around mid-December 2022 to finish laying the tile. They still needed to finish cleaning cement spills, put in the grout and new baseboards, etc. With the floor still unfinished, *** ********* talked me into two projects, not in the invoice: replace damaged siding on the back wall of the house and replace soffit and fascia around the house and porch; completed by 12/31/2022. I asked *** ********* about the floor and the kitchen; he said they would finish when he returned after the New Year. That’s the last time I saw him. On 1/2/2023, he contacted me to order the cabinets (the floor’s still unfinished). As agreed in October 2022, he was going to order them through his **** ***** business account so I could get the discounted price. Never provided an order confirmation. I paid *** ********* around $10,550, between cash advances and transactions via CashApp. The last time he requested an advance was on 1/7/2022. I have tried to contact him many times; he does not answer calls, emails, or text messages. I requested refunds via CashApp for breach of contract. The floor in my house was left unfinished and we have no kitchen. My house has been in complete disarray for almost four months. I was taken advantage of by a dishonest person who I believe to be reputable and trustworthy.
