      This company collected my premium and never let me know they would be no longer insuring MS homes only surrounding states. The company will not answer the phone I have called multiple times.

      Hi My name is ****** *. I am writing this as clearly the company has a dramatic issue with management when it comes to the "Points of contacts" that they "assign to your claim#". They act like they will actually do what their job title says and actually keep you informed. That is most clearly a lie. I have called and emailed both my "point of contact" and her supervisor For OVER TWO MONTHS NOW. As usual no response although they supposedly have a 24 hour response time, "COMPANY POLICY". The company is a joke. They are severely dragging their feet as black mold countinues to spread through my house. Due to the lack of response from them, I feel that my next step will sadly be to higher a lawyer and take this into a legal battle because I feel that is the only way the company will take you seriously. STAY AWAY FROM SOUTHERN. US A LARGER BETTER KNOWN COMPANY. IT WILL SAVE YOU A HEADACHE LATER ON.

      Southern Fidelity is stating that I do not have the right to choose my preferred roofing construction company and are attempting to force me to use their preferred vendor in order to cut costs and possibly provide substandard work on my home. They state directly on their own website that I have the right to choose my own contractor. One of their two claims is fraudulent.

      My name is *** ******, claim number is ************, my house after Hurricane Ida have multiple damage and roofs collapse, after you guys send someone down then company only gave me a check of 3000$?? How’s that fix anything? So i hired public adjuster to deal with the company and oh my god, this is the worst experience i ever have, worst company ever, they have been ignored my public adjuster and me, We have been trying to request an appraisal and we haven’t received any email or phone call for an appraisal.I called the company twice and the first time the lady just hung up on me after asking me for my claim number, and the second time I called, the person who answer the phone didn’t want to help me, she kept saying the other lady who hung up on me already emailed my public adjuster so she don’t know what else to do. But the other lady and you guys never contacts my public adjuster about the appraisal. I don’t know why you guys lying to yours customers like that . I bought my policy from Southern Fidelity so i have the right to receive the service from you guys, Southern Fidelity can’t just ignore and abandoned theirs customers like that once some hurricane happens?? it been 7 months after Hurricane Ida and you guys still ignore the problem, unbelievable. I do not want to hear any lie from the company, give my public adjuster a call and settle this down, how can the company take customers money but when it’s time to do your jobs then you just disappear ??

      I filed an insurance claim with Southern Fidelity and they are refusing to pay out my claim. I've been paying out of pocket since September. Repairs cost almost $150,000 and the only offered me $30,000. I've had to sign a new lease and pay rent because I can't live in my own apartment.the next step is to sue. I've been trying to get this done and no help or results there are weeks in between when I receive responses. My son just died and I maxed out my credit cards to get this apartment fixed and I can't even pay to bury him.

      My electricity went out December 27, 2021. I paid for an electrician to come to my house to repair it if he could. When he arrived I received a call Southern Fidelity Insurance. I was told he had to make a diagnosis and that they didn't have anyone to send. The electrician gave me an invoice for repair which is too much for me to pay on my own. He said, most likely tree roots, he didn't know. So, they said they were not going to pay for it because it was not a peril like a tree falling. I told her the electrician couldn't for certain say what the cause was. He said that it would cause me thousands of dollars to dig to find the cause and the exact cause may not be known, it could be caused by a lightning or power surge. I told her this. I requested for them to send an electrician, again she said they don't have anyone to send and I had to do it on my own. They said that they sympathized with me, but my electrical issues were due to wear and tear and lack of maintenance. They never came to my home to see what was wrong but said that it was basically my fault. I sent an email back and said that it seemed questionable to make up a cause without stepping foot on the property to look at it. I would like assistance from the BBB with this matter. They refuse to send anyone to my home, they are refusing to cover repairs, they made up a cause for the electrical issues.

      I am rejecting this response because:I need anyone except ****** ****** or **** ***** to contact me.  From the start apparently I’ve been getting the wrong information. “Find a diagnosis” to “ it’s from wear and tear”. I would like the claim reworked, started over with someone new. And to begin with them sending an electrician to our home.  If it really and truly is not covered, which it should be, I will possibly see things differently. But from her saying how much is covered and what plan it falls under, seems very misleading.

      We had a water leak from one of the bathrooms which caused damage to the living, dining and two bedroom floors Oct 2020. Southern Fidelity no longer wants to cover my home due to time in which the rebuild was done. First, we were not covered for replying. We paid this out of pocket. Next the check they sent us had to be endorsed by us and our reverse mortgage Co. (Celink). Celink, would not release monies in order for us to have the floors replaced. So, we had to shop around a little since we had to mostly pay out of pocket (3/'21) before Celink would release some of the funds to us. So, Southern Fidelity felt that we took a while to have the rebuild done and now no longer wants to cover us. I am having a hard time to find a home insurance Co. since it has been less than 3 yrs that we had water damage(claim). What can we do now? THIS IS AN EMERGENCY SITUATION. OUR CUTOFF IS JAN. 31, 2022.

      I filed a claim MONTHS ago back in at least October or November in 2021 and have not heard anything back. I have called numerous times and have yet to reach the adjuster or talk to anyone regarding this. I get told I will be called back but never receive a call back. I need a solution and determination.

      I've been paying this insurance company for years. I filed my claim on the day after hurricane Ida 08/30/2021. My insurance adjuster didn't come out until 10/13/2021 and I still haven't heard anything about how much the damages are worth (almost 2 months later). They said I would hear something within 7-10 business days and I have heard nothing about how they will be providing relief for my family. We have depleted our savings and spent over 30,000 in repairs, materials, and other needs for this displacement. We are in a terrible financial situation because I expected my insurance to help like they are supposed to. I also applied for my ALE funds which they are still giving me the run around about. I have no clue if they will be helping me in any way. I've called many times to check on the status of my claim but I usually am on hold for an hour or more and then they just hang up on me when they finally pick up. It's disgusting how they have treated me throughout this process and it makes me very concerned for how others are being treated. Everyone I know has received their checks already and I'm literally chasing this company down trying to figure out how they will be helping our family.
