      I hired this company to move my mother's belongings and our family heirlooms from the panhandle of ******* to where I live in ******. This company was the only one I could find that would load in the area (***********) of ******* where the items were located so I really was not given a choice of whom to move my things. The person I arranged the move with was very professional and assured me that the items would be repacked by them upon arrival/loading to ensure safe transport and that there are no illegal items in the shipment. The movers arrived and loaded the items without repacking anything even after my mom reminded them they were supposed to be (I was not able to be there). My mom let me know and I called the supervisor who apologized and said they would repack at their warehouse and proof would be sent through photos. 2 photos were sent of workers seemingly repacking the items. A few months later, the shipment arrived with almost nothing repacked, everything mostly as I had left it in plastic bins that were not even inventory labeled or things secured with packing material. I have video of this and a contract stating it would be repacked. Many items were broken, some irreplaceable. They want to settle by paying out $4500 when the move itself cost $6500 and the items damaged were valued at over $10,000. I am not sure what action can be taken but I think it is worth a try to at least get the value of the move refunded since they blatantly violated the contract and mishandled insured items that properly itemized.

      Good afternoon, we are researching the circumstances surrounding the customer's complaint.  Once I am able to receive the documentation needed, we will provide a timely update and response. The customer selected a valuation level of her shipment, we need to review and see what that level was and compare to her claimed damages.  I'm also requesting details surrounding the packing and pick up of her shipment in order to have more details available.  This shipment is treated as an International shipment and is not under our local authority of local or in-state moves.  ******* International handled the International portion of this shipment and our ****************** handled the pick up.
