In 2000 I paid this company to fix my computer for trogans, virus and to use their firewall. I paid them $200 and then paid the renewal fee. Now 5 years later they are calling and harassing me telling me they are going to charge me 7k for their software. I do not even own that computer anymore. They said I signed a contract but can't provide me with the copy of the contract. They claim it's on the computer. I told them to cancel it but they refuse telling me I owe them $2,000. This company is fraudulent and harasses their clients. They continue to call me telling me they are going to charge my charge or my checking account without my permission. Stay away from this company. They have offered no solution except harassment.Initial Complaint

The first week of June 2022 I purchased a Canon printer. I was having trouble connecting it to my computer. Through the Canon instructions, I ended up with US IT Websoft. He was given access to my computer and eventually was able to get it connected. Along with that, he says he cleaned up old files, etc. I paid for this service and a 5 year plan. The cost was ******. On November 23, 2022 I received a notification on my phone that I was going to be charged $1999.99 renewal fee for the next 5 years but I could call ************ and speak with ****** in the cancellation department. When I called that number, the male that answered was very helpful and willing to cancel. As he proceeded, he informed me that I was entitled to a ****** refund. He then transferred me to the accounting person. That person had me fill out a form on line. Upon completion of that form the ****** refund turned into a ********** that he was able to make it somehow show up in my checking account, which he had me check. After much discussion and persuasion I was instructed to go to my bank and wire the money to a person in *****. I did that! Thank God for the fraud department who wouldn't let the wire transfer go forward without asking more questions which this guy coached me on before hand. The wire was for over *********. They had full access to my computer for hours and when I terminated the wire transfer they locked me out of my computer. ****** learned. This is nothing but a scam.Initial Complaint

This company admits to owing me a $200 refund but will not send me a refund. They will only process the refund if I give them my banking information including Bank, Routing number & account number. They claim that they do not have the ability to send a check to me. That is ridiculous and I won't give my banking info to anyone to prevent being scammed.Initial Complaint

I felt being misguided by one of the customer service technicians not mentioning the per year renewal charge for the certifications in the receipt. As well, I was not informed about my banking information would be saved and will be used for automatic renewal in the future (at the time of purchase).Yesterday I got the *** notification regarding using my banking information for the automatic renewal, to charge the huge amount $1899.98 for five years subscription. I want to suggest Websoft not to offer a customer such a huge amount purchasing via automatic renewal process. Though thanks for the *** notification, that helped me to catch up this on time.Initial Complaint

I am asking for help from the BBB to cancel a $2,199.99 credit card charge by US IT WEBSOFT LLC ("Websoft"). On June 4th, 2022, I blocked the Websoft ********** credit card charge I had previously authorized. I blocked the card charge as soon as Chase switched it to "posted" from "pending". The reason for my blocking payment to Websoft was Websoft's failure to deliver the contracted for service. The contracted for service was my computer protection against possible identity theft by a third party. My reason for agreeing to purchase the Websoft ***************** Services" was as follows: immediately prior to my contacting Websoft, my computer screen was twice taken over for approximately 30 seconds by a message in very large fonts on a blue background. The message said: "do not turn off computer, update in progress". No legitimate business logo appeared on my screen to identify the update. However, several hours after Websoft finished uploading its *****************" software on my computer, the above mentioned message appeared on the same blue background again. This is when I understood that the newly installed Websoft software would not protect my computer going forward. I then took a look at the BBB's online file on Websoft and realized that every complaint by the other Websoft customers was also mine. My complaints range from Websoft fraudulently claiming to me it is an AMAZON sub-contractor, which AMAZON denies, to Websoft constant harassment by phone, to fear mongering, to charging extremely large dollar amounts without offering corresponding service value, to uploading to my computer an inefficient (and unauthorized copy?) of the Webroot software suite. Websoft richly deserves the BBB "F" rating. Websoft is a typical scamming company. I am one of their victims. Please note: unsurprisingly, Websoft does very little business in writing, except for emailing invoices. I am uploading their one page invoice dated 5/25/2022.Initial Complaint

On January 24, 2022, I purchased a new computer from Apple, along with ***************** I was unable to load the software and called the toll-free number provided. I was told I was speaking with a ********* representative, who used teamviewer to check my computer and told me that it needed to be cleaned of malware/viruses/Trojans (can't remember specifically which they claimed were the problems). I was charged $219.99 for them to help with the office installation and for a three year subscription for firewall/virtual IP blocker/antivirus protection. Today I received a call showing as "Spam Risk" on my mobile phone, but the caller identified himself as a ********* representativ); when I asked how I could verify that he worked for *********, he told me that he is the same person I spoke to in January and he left an invoice on my home screen when he did that. I asked him for the invoice number, which he provided along with my address and email address. I was very skeptical that ********* would initiate an interaction about my computer, but since he had the information from our previous interaction I continued the conversation. He informed that my computer was registering "fluctuations," and transferred me to another person who used teamviewer again and reported that I had "foreign" entities accessing not my computer but my network connection. He told me if I shop or use online banking applications from any of my devices accessing my network connection then my information is insecure. He said for $999.99 they would provide a lifetime block applicable to all devices that use my network connection. I realized this must be a scam, and examined the invoice and did an internet search regarding the company that issued it. It became clear that I had been lied to both in January and again today, as no one I spoke to is a ********* employee. This is fraudulent and I want a refund of my subscription fee. I now need to have my computer scrubbed to clean it.Initial Complaint

Bought a new computer from Apple. In January 23, 2022, when I tried to install MS ****** purchased w Apple Desktop on unable to install the MS ****** Product and directed to call a customer service number. The Tech explained he was from MS could assist me. The MS ******* wouldn't work because my network was infected with foreign links and my computer was compromised. Before I could install the MS ******, I had to clean out the problem. The Tech worked on my computer and charged me $299.99 USD for the service and Webroot protection. On April 30, 2022, ** IT Websoft called to inform me my computer was infected. For some reason, we lost connection several times. Each time they called back the caller Id said SCAM LIKELY each time. One time the caller is said ********** and another time it said **********. There is an issue with the credit card: the issuer thinks it is a scam and not legitimate and would not process payment. US IT Websoft is now harassing me - calling me three to four times a day.
