HVAC install April 2020 (several dates duration) New install, after the long first day, it was found the unit was installed backwards, with cool air blowing from intake vent, facilitating my sleeping on the sofa that night so I could benefit from the only cool air working. They returned the next day, and fixed position of the unit, but install continued to be problematic-and took a long time. Technician did not have his own lighting and borrowed a lamp, which he broke. I called them back several times because the reason I bought a new system, temps well above the thermostat setting, persisted. They threw a few "freebies" in including a 10x10 register in a bedroom and a new plenum. Problem persisted, and I was told I needed more insulation, and this was Florida, and it was hot, and that was just how it was. I switched service providers and had them come to address the issues, and they ended up coming back to correct things a few times-twisted duct work diverting cold air away from the 2nd bedroom (which I complained about before). My daughter was using a portable ac unit it was so bad. With a brand new system. This past week I noticed a sagging ceiling in the dining room and MUSHROOMS growing from the ceiling. I called Comfort Authority to eliminate the HVAC system as the issue. The HVAC IS the issue. The install, to be specific. There is a list of items which have led to my ceiling being saturated, and my health at risk due to the moisture issue. I will upload the invoices and emails, but I'm looking at several options, all the way up to replacing the system. This is expensive damage AND a health risk. This company is wreckless. Who installs an air handler backwards??
