On 12/9/21 my son cleaned his apartment, turned in his keys and left the state. He was suffering from exhaustion and stress. I was made aware of this on 12/11. On 12/13 I emailed the Venues office thru the resident portal stating I was the guarantor and would be paying monthly until his lease was up. I received an email from the office stating his residency would continue and he was not on notice. On 12/15 my son and I were turned over to collections. I called the Venue office multiple times, at least 5 leaving messages that this was mistake due to my sons emotion state and he would be fulfilling the lease. I never received a call back and was locked out of the portal. This all happened in one weeks time and his rent was paid up until 1/1/22. I finally received an email from the Venue and was told that a call was placed to Jake in which he stated that he was not going to return to the state. Via emails and messages The Venue was told that my son was not in a healthy emotional state, that I was the guarantor and I would continue to make the payments. During this week and until he returned home, I was worried sick about my son's well being, his actions were impulsive and reckless. I was working 65 hours a week and I did not feel like turning us over to collections was neccesary when I had insured payment. I signed a contract with the collectors in order to avoid harrassment by them and avoid ruining mine and my son's credit. I did not feel that I had a choice.Business response

It seems as if there was some miscommunication between your son, the guarantor, and the office. Going forward if you could email us your information or sons information we can look into solving whatever we can.
