Electrohome advertises appliances on Facebook as "new, scratch & dent." I purchased a package of 4 pieces on 4/23/21. They wrap the appliances in industrial cellophane so it appears to be unused. After unwrapping the appliances, it was clear these were used (food stains inside the oven and refrigerator) not just scratches on the outside. Within the first few months, the refrigerator completely stopped working several times, costing me hundreds of dollars in perished groceries each time. Each time the company came out and pumped the refrigerator with Freon to temporarily fix it, before the same issue would happen again. Obviously I grew more suspicious knowing these were falsely advertised as "new" so I called a real appliance repair company to inspect. He informed me that this refrigerator was obviously tampered with because the back panel that should be sealed from kitchenaid was in fact not sealed, it had been opened, tampered with and replaced with a part that didn't go to the refrigerator. A "quick fix to sell it" he said to me. The oven panel also stopped working and repeatedly gave error messages while the microwave just stops randomly while in use. After informing the company of what the technician had told me, they then attempted to do an actual repair in which they replaced a pump in the refrigerator. Low and behold, it began leaking some time after the repair. This has caused water damage to my cabinets that are adjacent to the fridge which will have to be replaced since the wood is all rotten. I contacted the seller asking for a return of faulty equipment or at least a partial refund as I was advertised a new appliance set and thought that is what I was paying for. I would never pay nearly $5000 used/tampered with appliances. This has caused me lost money and time that I don't have as a nurse. The seller rejected my request for a return or even partial refund and stopped responding to me, continuing to sell while I struggle to pay for the damages/repairs.
