I replaced all 4 tires at Tuffy's after having 1 flat tire in April 2022. After the service, my warning lights did not go off due to damage to the TPMS sensor. Tuffy's offered to replace the sensor and after 14 hours and multiple unsuccessful attempts to fix the problem, Tuffy's manager offered to reimburse me for the repair at Toyota. After receiving a quote from Toyota that the repair would cost $350, I obtained a written statement from a tuffy's email address confirming that they would reimburse me for the repairs caused by their damage to my tire sensor (Pictures 1 and 2). With arrangements for reimbursement in writing, I scheduled an appointment with Toyota for the repairs and paid out of pocket (pictured receipt). I immediately emailed Tuffys the service reciept (Picture 3). After a week of no response, I followed up (picture 4). After no response for two weeks, I called Tuffy's to ask about obtaining my reimbursement check. On the phone, the employee stated that the man who sent me the emails had since sold the business and I would need to contact him directly. He provided a new email address and suggested I forward the emails to him at this new contact. When I did, the emails were undeliverable because the address did not exist. I called back to confirm that the email address was correct and explained that my emails wouldn't go through and he chuckled and said, "it's not uncommon for guys like that to skip town," and expressed that they had no other suggestions for me. I called a final time on 6/18 to express that I wouldn't have moved forward with the repairs had tuffys not agreed to pay and he said he understood. He explained that the previous owner owes a lot of people money and can't be found. He said that the only information he had was that the previous owner's name was Josh B and he was affiliated with TJ auto group. I need assistance getting reimbursement for the repairs required following damage to my car at Tuffys.Business response

On April 5 the my daughter took her car into Tuffy automotive shop on on Fletcher avenue she needed a new starter as she was waiting they checked out her car and told her that she didn't need a new starter that it was going to cost around $600 my daughter had the car fixed when she went to pay it was over $1,039 when she got home I asked to see the receipt for the bill and noticed that they charged her $687 for the part for the starter I called Napa myself and for the Napa power premium Plus starter motor serial number ***** 02 was 280 something dollars my daughter was overcharged and I felt like they knew what they were doing when they did overcharge her I called the shop on April 6th to speak with the manager about what happened he told me he would look into it and call me back he did not call me back so I decided to call him back he didn't admit to any type of mistake being made but he did agree to either give me a credit for work in the future my only concern is that I'm afraid that if I bring the car in for further repair either it one it will not be done right two they won't even remember who we are and why we're there for a free service I would like to have this rectified I felt like my daughter going in by herself being a young woman was fully taken advantage of and overcharged for a part that was 280 something dollars and they charged for 680 something so I please I need help on this matter thank youBusiness response

A adjustment is fine please let me know when we can come into get the adjustment, or will a check be mailed? I would also like to know how much we will be reimbursed for? Is Monday May 9th ok in the morning to come in? Thank you, **** *****
