I am writing this review because when we picked up our cake, we were very disappointed as the design was not what was approved. I made a trip to the store to confirm design 1 week prior to pick up, however, at pick up the designed wasn't what was approved. I informed the associate and she took the cake back to the back area and then came back and stated the letters were too big. At any point the confirmed design was not doable I should have received a call to inform me of the issue and provided some workable options. At the price point that we paid for this cake, exactly what was agreed upon should have been delivered, and should not have been handled as of this is what we did this is what you have to accept. I was told that I was purchasing a 2D edible design, using hot glue to adhere the stick to the product/design now makes the image not edible as hot glue is not edible and is a toxic product that compounds that can absorb into the edible design, I am happy I noticed the glue prior to allowing my son to eat the image because stomach cancer runs in my family so, we have to be mindful of what we consume. Another disappointment came when I asked the associate in store what was the clear product holding the stick to the image and she stated she did not know and did not bother to go inquire and when I explain to her that I needed to know she then replied its probably not edible just eat around it, now she was very pleasant but, response was unacceptable so, I just wait until we returned home to call the store, again because I had my son with me and didn't want to dampen his spirits, and the associate who did not assist me in store explained to me it was hot glue, and I expressed to her my concerns. I spent almost $250.00 on a product that wasn't delivered based on what was approved.
