He made a canopy for my boat and the canopy snaps are in the wrong places, the windshield is crooked, The zippers have no stops to them, He ended up poking a hole in my seat in cracking the plastic window on the left side of my boat. Very poor craftsmanship.Initial Complaint

Paid the company $2252 on my credit card to them on 9/26/23 and then paid $1300 on 10/9/23 We add more work and this was the deposit for both, 50 percent down ***** the contact I have been dealing with has used every excuse from a stroke, to his father dying and his landlord trying to boot him out has been used. He even put both deposit back on my credit card and reversed it before the pending status went hard. I have called him and texted him daily and he just keeps putting me off. The first deposit was for a flooring on my boat and installing new seats for the front of the boat. The second deposit was for redoing the leather for the rest of the seats in the boat. I contacted Aqua deck the flooring manufacture who recommend *****. They have taken him off their list. I do have a copy of the messenger text they sent me in recommending him. I also have copies of the computer screen where he has put the deposit back on my credit card before the pending came offInitial Complaint

Back in June of this year I have paid ***** $2900 to do to my brand new boat. It is now December the job is not complete he will not finish. It keeps giving me excuses and lies and that he told me to pick up the rest of my material, I have to find someone else to finish the project after I paid in full, and he will not return any of my money or text.Initial Complaint

Submitted a $180 deposit for upholstery work on May 12th. Requested my deposit back on Nov 15th after multiple engagements where business said work work would be completed within the next week. Business owner told me to meet him at business location for deposit on Nov 16th. Business closed. Owner not picking up phone calls or answering texts.Business response

the $180 that was received was the balance due for the cushion repair and remake of another with embroidery. no deposit was taken for the job that he cancelled even after material was ordered.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:As I reminded the owner of the shop previously. I paid $180 cash by mistake. Right after this happened he texted me back and I immediately paid the FULL $275 via email invoice (proof of payment attached). Also attaching text conversation showing the mishap and how we agreed to carry on the $180 for the remaining work that was never completed after 7 months and therefore canceled. If this is not proof enough dont know what is

On April 17th, 2023 I paid a $1,982.25 deposit with Gulfside Upholstry to have my boat cushions and coaming bolster pads reupholstered. After about 2 months the owner said he expected the upholstry soon so I dropped all the cushions and pads at his shop. Over the subsequent 4 months I heard one excuse after another about why my cushions weren't done. Now my texts and calls go unanswered. I need the job completed immediately or a refund of my $1,982.25 and my cushions returned.Initial Complaint

Paid copy 450 deposit for marine upholstery work back in June, have repeatedly reached out to owner for installation date and received numerous excuses for delays then false dates that someone would be here to complete. As of today 9-24-23 have not received installation, or requested refund or any returned communication.
