I am just trying to get my son's braces off and they are giving me a run around. I don't want nothing else to do with them but Noone one else will touch my son's mouth until the braces are off. Rose in the office does not return calls back and avoid my phone calls. They are telling me it may be a month before I can even schedule to get the braces off. I need someone to look into this office. I already paid them thousands of dollars and now I just want my son's braces off.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 12, 2022/08/23) */ Dear ****** ********** Good evening, Due to HIPPA I can not send you the records or contract signed by the parents unless that is exempt, you let me know. Patient minor son of ***** ****** started orthodontic treatment, the mother **** ****** and father signed a contract and fee schedule agreement. Patient was ready for taking the braces off on May 16th 2022. Mom was presented the contract that she signed that the retainers were $500 when the braces come off to retain the teeth in place. She left and refused to pay and left without scheduling an appointment. She started to call to get the braces off. I spoke with her on the phone why she did not want the retainers and she said that she was going to do to be a self impression online retainer that she wanted. I did tell her that she was going to be called to schedule that appointment. There is a breach of contract from the parents of the patient and I have a responsibility to educate them that a self impression retainer was not the best choice for a developing child from a non supervised medical device or treatment and I was not comfortable with that decision as a responsible trained professional. She kept on calling all day everyday for an appointments. She was told that they would have to sign a special legal release because they would not finish the treatment as per contract. She came to the office on August 4,2022 a Thursday when I was doing sedations, due to the nature of my practice and what I was doing scheduled that day with anesthesia, I could not attend to take braces off on a whim. She was given an appointment on August 9th 2022 for September 7th 2022 which was the first one available for a long procedure of taking braces off even when they breached their contract. Service of orthodontic deband appointment was scheduled, unaware of his complaint. Both parents have to be present and sign a release of responsibility from the doctor per parents decision not to finish treatment. This complaint has been resolved as per having a scheduled appointment for removal of braces under breach of contract from the parents patient. Thank you for reaching out. Dr. Marta M R.
