I have received an order to pay this law firm Goldman, Evans, Trammel LLC $7 plus a processing fee of $70.83 for an outstanding obligation. On 10/1/2021, I called the company I'm currently doing business with and there is no such record. Then I called the law firm and asked for proof of the debt with the said company. I have not heard from the law firm. What's going on here? There have been no previous attempts to bill me for an outstanding $7.00 debt. Why are they writing me to ask for money with a "amicable resolution"? Prove to me there have been unresolved attempts to bill me for the "said" $7.00 bill and what is that bill for? What service was preformed. This is outrageous and unfair. Please help me to resolve this matter with this law firm. Calling them has been of no help. Thank you! No. XXXXXX-XXXXXBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/14) */ This verbal response was taken by BBB. Again, we are a commercial collection agency. ** ***** ****** is a customer of our client's, ***. They placed a single invoice for $70.83 plus collection fees of $7.08. ***** ***** called our office exactly once on October 1st and a copy of the invoice was emailed to her on October 5th. She did not respond. This complaint is completely baseless for many reasons, the most important one being that ** ***** is NOT our customer, but, even if they were, we have done nothing wrong.Initial Complaint

I own a small farm, and I hired an employee for 2 months. I hired *** out of Florida to do my payroll. I noticed they were charging me more than the contract stated so I called them up and they agreed they had made a mistake. They refunded me $150.00 after my employee was gone to another job. I then started getting letters from Goldman, Evans & Trammell LLC, that I owed $50.00 for lack of payment to ***. I called *** again, and they said my account is closed and I don't owe them anything. I tried to explain this to this collection company, but they won't call *** to verify I am correct. I feel this is a scam company! My whole bill now is $81.24 and the interest keeps coming, plus it affects my credit, which is perfectly good except for this scam request of $81.24.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/09/16) */ This verbal response was taken by BBB. The debt we were attempting to collect was a commercial debt by Ms. *******'s own admission. She is NOT a customer of ours. We emailed our client, ***, and they confirmed the invoices were and are unpaid. Both accounts were closed back in August as uncollectable, not because they are not owed. We will no longer be contacting the consumer.
