      Date of Transaction - 12-7-2023 $2,400.00 ************** I was guaranteed 12 matches based on my criteria I gave during the time of the initial interview in a 12-month period or sooner. I have not been provided any matches/dates that have met my criteria in over 5 months. I have contacted them on several occasions either via email or phone with no response or resolution and I am asking for a refund. They engaged in deceptive advertising and told me there were plenty of eligible candidates in the ********* area based on the criteria I provided, and I would have no problems with matching with someone. I have called the initial Corporate ************************** Specialist (*******) who interviewed me with no reply. ************ *********************

      IJL regrets to learn the consumer has not enjoyed her experience thus far. She has been provided 4 dates, all which she has declined to meet in person.She has 12 dates over the course of 12 months and thus far, has been provided dates in accordance with this timeline. Additionally, anyone that IJL presented to the consumer is considered a date, whether accepted or declined. She declined ****** as she felt he was too old, however, he was in the age parameters she agreed to when offered membership. She declined ***** due to his height, although a preference we take into consideration, not one that matches are based upon, and he is taller than she is. She declined ******* due to him being native Hawaiian and lastly she declined ****, her last decline on March 27th, due to not having children of his own. She was also presented 5th date,*******. She accepted *******, however, he declined the opportunity to meet her. We have performed the services as outlined in the membership agreement,and just because the consumer does not like them, she is not eligible for a refund. We will continue the search and select process for her next date and look forward to the consumer accepting the dates that the professional matchmakers she hired have chosen for her and attending an in person date, as this is the only true way to know if you have that spark or chemistry with someone.Thank you.

      I am rejecting this response because the matches sent to me were not my expectations when I joined & was told by ******* if they did not meet my criteria they would not count against my 12 matches. 

      1st - 12-11-23 - ***** - was 68 yrs old  did not meet my criteria of ***** yrs old 

      2nd - 12-23-23 - ***** did not meet my height criteria, I asked for 510 & above & this does not matter if they thought was a good match because he was taller than me. 

      3rd - 1-23-24 - Bill - no children & height again did not meet my criteria but in good faith said yes to the match, he declined me.  

      4th -3-9-24 - ******* - did not meet ethnicity requirements & was told by Eyrina this does not count against my matches  

      5th - 3-26-24 - **** - no children, same as above. 

      6th - ***** - **** - no children & never married. 

      When I met with ******* on 12-6-23 she said they had a 

      Again, my criteria was not over the top, like someone with green eyes & blonde hair.  I was told there was plenty of candidates with what I explained to *******.  I am looking for someone who was married before & has children/grandchildren as this is a very important part of my life & wanted someone with similar interests & understanding of this.  Age between ***** as I am only 59 yrs old & someone 510 & up. Pretty simple.  

      Also, I was told that if a match did not meet my criteria it would not count against my matches.  

      When they entice you into believing they have a large pool of candidates and from day one could not even present one person to meet this is deceptive advertising to me.  It is about getting the money and then never returning a call when they say call anytime with questions or concerns.  All I want is my money refunded so I can put this behind me.  Obviously they dont have the candidates they said they did.

      I signed up with this dating service at the end of August of 2022. The expectation and services were explained to me and how the program worked, since then I have been on two dates with the last one coming in November and I have had 3 separate match makers. There has been a major lack of communication and absolutely very limited service. They have come nowhere near meeting their so called expectations and services. For the amount of money they make you pay for the so called services one would expect way more out of them as a company. When they do happen to set you up on a date they dont take in to consideration how much money you make, they send you to these high-end restaurants that a meal cost over $50.00 and for someone with limited income its hard to pay that. I am ever disappointed and ever dissatisfied with this company, had I know this is how the company work I would never had wasted my money on it. I have tried to reason with them about getting my money back since they have had basically no service provided to me other than the two dates back in October and November and nothing since then and we are now at the end of April. Plus my match maker is suppose to contact me which never happens unless I make the I make the first call. This business is not worth what they are wanting per client and I am wanting my money back, all $3000.

      I have used their service previously and it was coincidentally a success. I have told them I am in no longer need of their service and have told them to stop contacting me several times. They still do although they state it is in the files of no contact.

      I am rejecting this response because: 

      I have spoken to their many representatives over 10 years several times regarding the matter. I still get contacted. Whoever I speak to, who is always a different person, tells me that they will take a note of it. If they have taken a note of it then I shouldn't be contacted anymore because it should already be noted in my file. I am not interested in being harassed by a business that I have no interest in dealing with whatsoever anymore.

      On June 13th, 2022, I fell for a scam. I was promised 2 dates a month for 7 months (14 dates in total). I was promised that there were PLENTY of men in my area, my age range and within the criteria I was looking for. I paid $2,200 and $285 per month. It is now August 29th, and I've had two dates. IJL now tells me that two dates a month is not guaranteed and that they have to go and recruit clients everyday. There aren't enough clients in the database. My last date told me he doesn't run heat or air conditioning because it's too expensive, and I'm from the south. There is no way he was a paying client and paying the $285 a month. I am now trying to get my money back as I am out $2,770 for two dates and drained my savings truly believing I was going to meet serious men looking for a serious relationship twice a month. This company preys on women and their pursuit for true love. Don't fall for their scams and false promises as they fail to fulfill contractual obligations. They do not hold their end of the contract and are only interested in taking your money. I have decided to leave IJL, and they are only offering me $128.25 as my refund. I turned down one date because the guy had stalked me and harassed me on a dating app. I have a written e-mail from management stating that this date would not count against me; however, they are now refusing to include it in my refund since I turned down a date with a man who I wouldn't feel safe meeting based off of previous online interactions. Don't make the same mistake that I did and invest your money in a scam. Stay FAR FAR away from this company and stick with the dating apps. That is where they are recruiting all of your "matches" anyway.

      IJL regrets to learn the consumer did not enjoy her experience as this is not the norm with IJL. IJL is not a scam and we have been successfully in business for the last 30+ years providing a positive first date experience to singles all over the world.  We are sorry to hear the consumer did not enjoy the dating process. IJL did reach out to the consumer to address her concerns. The consumer paid for two dates and was provided three dates as in good faith we did provide on complimentary date to the consumer. The feedback from her first date was overall positive and she even exchanged numbers with the date and noted she would love to go on a 2nd date with him. The feedback she provided on her 2nd date was also generally positive, she exchanged numbers and also noted that she did want to go on a 2nd date with him as well but didnt think he wanted to pursue a relationship. The consumers membership outlines the terms in which the services are provided, how dates are selected and procured and she was aware of this at the time she executed her agreement. Her membership is now expired and we wish her the best on her future dating endeavors.
