I called R & G Electric and told the operator I needed someone to fix a severed wire to my thermostat. The operator spoke to the technician and called me back to schedule an appointment on 3/3/2023 at 9:00am. I called at 9:30am to say nobody had arrived and no one answered. I called at 10:00am and the operator told me that they had the wrong number, but someone was coming at 11:00am. R&G Electric called me at 11:15am and said they were canceling the appointment because they couldn't service an HVAC electrical wire. I said I didn't understand why they scheduled the appointment and how an electrician doesn't know how to service an electrical wire. The operator said she didn't know and tried to refer me to an HVAC company. I currently have no cooling in my home and will have to pay expensive weekend rates for service.Business response

This response was taken verbally by BBB:
Based on our diagnostic, we felt the issue was more of an HVAC/Mechanical issue. Instead of wasting the customer's time and money having us fix an electrical issue, which may not resolve his problem, we recommended that they contact a HVAC/Mechanical technician to make the repairs. We do not want to charge customers for unneeded repairs.
