I've had some bad experiences before but finding help from anyone through this organization has actually by far been the worst. I went to a WIOA meeting on Dec.16 at the Brandon location to hopefully get CDL training with a trucking school & was told by career coach Manuela M. a career coach would contact me in 3-4 business days. So 3 weeks passed, never a call or email or explanation so I've gone in person to both Brandon & Tampa locations, it was like me or the meeting I went to never existed. Was told in fact, I wasn't even in the system at all as ever having gone to that meeting. Since then I researched all requirements for WIOA program and did everything on my own to meet them without help from anyone here, all while trying to contact 1 person who could actually help me just apply for the WIOA voucher to the school I'd chosen, which actually since then I have a letter of pre-hire through them to a trucking company to start work there after class. After calling and leaving voicemails with all the people here who are supposed to be able help, never once have I ever even gotten one response back. I don't know why our state chose this entity to be responsible for the WIOA program funds or to help anyone with it at all because neither is possible no matter how much a person does here on their end. They won't let you speak to anyone who can help or even give you an explanation to why nobody will contact you, all you can do is leave emails and voicemails and just be given the silent treatment with never one actual response from anyone.
