We were reaching out to caterers for our wedding back in October. ************************* got on the phone with us and gave us a great sales pitch promising that he had a ***** chef on his team that can accommodate our **********/southern fusion hopes without a problem. He ***** over the phone that he is so confident in his team that they guarantee a full refund if we don't like the tasting. This sounded great to us, and when we see in writing in an email from him and in the contract that we are guaranteed a full refund if we don't like the tasting, we felt comfortable moving forward with them as our caterer. We arrive to the tasting, and it was clearly a last-minute attempt. They had done no research into ********** cuisine and what they offered me was borderline insulting. They even admitted at the tasting that they had been ******* to figure out how to create these foods and that they were just guessing, which I found incredibly unprofessional. Needless to say, I emailed them that evening and requested a refund due to my dislike of the tasting that they provided. They sent us a form, I filled it out, and within 24 hours of the tasting I was officially requesting my refund which I'm contractually ***********. They started making excuses of what they are and aren't willing to refund me, trying to withhold sales tax, trying to play it off like they've already put money towards servers and bartenders for a wedding that's in June ****. They wanted to refund us less than $5k when we'd already paid almost $11k. They became impossible to get a hold of when we fought back, and when we threatened to take legal action, they tried to offer to give us a larger but still not complete refund and to pay us back in monthly installments. ************************* at one point told my fianc that they don't have that kind of money laying around, which means that they've more than likely spent our money even though their services owed to us are still 10 months out. We have yet to hear back from them.

My wife and I signed a contract on 10-21-22 for Talk of the Town to do the floral/design for our upcoming wedding vow renewal. The agreement stated that we pay a ttl of $15,050 for our wedding vision based on 2 Pinterest links that included our vision. We have paid the initial payment of $3762.50, and every month $1410.94 as of Feb. We have invested over $9k in this company. They were supposed to show a mock setup of our designs at our food tasting at Marriott on 03-06-23, 12 noon, with fresh flowers and our colors. The first excuse was that they mistook the date and time, although we have had several emails back and forth up until last week with the date and time. And the Marriott event manager called them on the day of the food tasting so that they could set up the design. The second excuse is that because they had the date and time wrong, our flowers and other items would arrive the next day, Tuesday 03-07-23. But they would send pictures. We didn't receive any pictures. This company hasn't purchased or shown us any items regarding our wedding vision discussed in October, yet they take monthly payments. The initial mock setup occurred on Jan 24th. The items they showed were of dollar tree standard, and they were told they were unacceptable on a $14K budget. We spoke to the owner on 02/01/23 regarding the lack of communication, the ignored emails, and the cheap products presented. He said they would redo the mock setup the next week and show us what the design at our wedding would look like. We never got the design pictures the following week but were told we couldn't get a design setup until March 1st. That was when the first food-tasting date/time was discussed on 02/03/23 with team member *****, then again on02/09/23, 02/14/23, and 02/28/23. These dates do not include the emails the Marriott event manager sent them asking them what the setup needs.TOTT does not have the inventory to complete our wedding, and we believe we are being scammed.
