On October 18, 19, 20 drywall cracks in my ceiling were suppose to be repaired. As of today, November 10, most of them have been repaired. While Tony B. was at my house patching (not repairing) the ceiling cracks he proceeded to tell a tradesman from another company that I was a terrible person to work for and that I have fired everyone that has worked for me. I spoke with Nicole, the Operations Manager, about this issue and she was quite apologetic. The following week I began priming the patch work so the ceilings could be painted and noticed that not all cracks have been addressed. I called the company to speak with NIcole again and was pawned off to Danielle. On November 1 Danielle told me that Nicole told her that the ceiling crack repair would be completed either November 11 or 12 because the drywall man was on another job until then. When I called The Handyman Company today, November 10, to get a final day and time for the work so I could arrange for someone to be in my house Nicole told Danielle to tell me that the drywall man wouldn't be available until November 17 or 18. When I tried to find out why the job that was suppose to be completed on October 20 would not be completed until maybe November 18th, Danielle's explanation was "that is what Nicole told her". When I told Danielle that I think I should talk directly to Nicole to resolve this issue, she hung up on me. On November 5 my check was cashed and I still do not have the job done and there doesn't appear to be any motivation to complete the job that was started on October 18. After my initial complaint to Nicole she assured me that the employees of The Handyman Company do not speak to or about customers in the manner I was spoken about. After my last conversation with Danielle it appears as if disrespect is part of their business plan.

We were able to send someone out to resolve the issues the following day. We have since spoken with the homeowner and the job is complete. In April 2021, I called to inquire if the Handyman Company specifically worked on Mobile Homes and I advised I was looking to do a bathroom remodel. The company stated that they did. I had two separate handyman come to work on the bathroom and both confirmed that the Mobile home was structurally sound before moving forward with any remodel. After the remodel I continued to notice the floors sinking. On September 17th, ******* ****** & ******* Company came to inspect our floors and discovered that I have Honeycomb flooring that has no floor joist and that the floor is caving throughout the entire span of the Mobile. On September 20th, ******** Mobile Home ******** of ***** came to further inspect the floors and confirmed what ******* ****** & ******* Company stated and that the entire mobile home floors need to be gutted and replace. Both companies stated that the deteriorating floor should have been fully apparent to a General Contractor.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/21) */ We actually met Ms ***** in early March 2021 and they reviewed several possible projects with us at that time, including doing the bathroom and installing new kitchen cabinets. They contacted us again toward the end April and informed us that they wanted to start with the bathroom. We have no record of providing a structural report for the rest of the home, nor do we offer this type of service. We did however reach out to one of the vendors, ******** Mobile Home ********* mentioned in the complaint. They confirmed that their price was for the rest of the home and NOT for the bathroom area. This was never part of our scope of work and is completely separate work required to fix the floors throughout the rest of their home. We warranty our work for a full year and that includes any flooring replacement and or subflooring that was done in that bathroom as it relates to the work we were hired to do. If there are any issues with our work, we will make the repairs and be responsible for any bathroom flooring or subfloor related issue if applicable. We have been in communication with them and are hopeful that we can resolve the matter amicably. We had discussed the possibility of extending our warranty beyond one year to ease their concerns and are still willing to do so.
