1 star is too much for this awful hospital. The lack of care for their patients is appalling. If at all possible, choose another hospital. This one is terrible.

I labored for 24 hours with a broken membrane, no doctor for most of it, and horrible nurses. We suffered a night of mistreatment and neglect. My fluids kept running out, my babies heart rate had several periods where it was dropping, and my blood pressure cuff was hurting me. When all of that was happening, no one came in to refill my fluids, check on us, or shed concern for my pain. There was loud beeping coming from my room and no one would come check it until I hit the call button. They told me that they were monitoring everything outside the room, but they were not. My mom occasionally went to get help when things got more concerning/scary/my babies heart rate was dropping and when she did the nurses were just standing in the hallway laughing and looking at her like she was a burden. Everytime I hit the call button They were very rude. I called and told them about my blood pressure cuff causing me too much pain and asked if it could be adjusted or taken off and the lady told me in such a nasty attitude "No, No you cannot!" Eventually I suffered enough pain and neglect that I took it off and still for several minutes, no one cared or even came in to check on us anyway.During my labor, long story short, 2 nurses were flipping me back and forth like a bed sheet as I had a catheter and other tubes sticking out of me. Initially they told me what side they were going to help me turn to and ended up talking amongst each other, confused, while flipping me back and forth. They hit one of the tubes and caused me to go into more pain then I had suffered before my epidural. When I was literally screaming in pain, they didn't even acknowledge it at all or try to help me. This night was so traumatizing I was also incorrectly stuck with an epidural needle 6 times and the nurse that was supposed to help me just let me go. I feel like if my mom wasn't there and if I didn't advocate enough for me and my baby, that one of us could have died due to neglect and mistreatment.

I've had to switch some of my medical care away from Advent Parsons Park because they routinely lose medical records and nobody knows what happened to my private information after I turned in at the front desk multiple times. I am still a patient but for my basic needs. They even lose lab results that are sent to them by the lab that they send you to

Please get video and audio of your surgery. Make sure YOU know for sure it's YOU and not anyone else who had that surgery. So, I had my colectomy surgery 9.7.2021 and before I went into surgery my Dr.stated I could have the video and audio of my surgery. On 9.22.2021 was my followup so the Dr could see how I was doing I asked him again for the video he stated he already signed off on my chart for me to have the video but he didn't know how to get it for me. 9.22.21 I went to med recs but they didn't know how to get me a video and asked me to contact the surgery dept. In October 2021 I called and spoke to someone and explained can someone call me back. I finally located the name of who was in charge of getting me the video in the surgery department and left a message on her office ph. She called me back in a few days and stated she needed the doctor to sign off on this procedure. I explained he already signed off. She stated she would call me back NO ONE CALLED BACK.In Nov 2021 I called Dr. Nurse to find out what was going on and she stated she will let me know and call me back. On Dec 22 2021 I called her again for an updated she stated she forgot and she would call me back. She called back on Dec 23,2021 and stated it was lost, disappeared, vanished disappeared. I asked did the Dr.Just dictate the medical records by MEMORY?. Nurse gave me Admin number. 12.23.2021 I called Admin and left msg on voicemail and asked for a call back NO ONE CALLED BACK. January 2022 I called Admin again and she stated she sent an email..i explained I have contacted my ins company and she stated what do you expect me to do, let the insurance company handle it.. Received a letter from Hosp Risk Mgmt asking for 30 days. Now we are at 60 days I emailed Director Risk Mgmt 3.6.2022 asking what in the **** is going on. Director emailed me back 3.7.2022 stated she will get back with me next day. Rec Video 3.9.2022 NO AUDIO ON VIDEO. Surgery was 4 hrs Video was 1.5 hours. Really!

02/06/2022 @ 11am My daughter was seen at AdventHealth for headache and blurred vision; pain level of 7/10; Tylenol and Zyrtec as needed. While inpatient @ 2pm My daughter went to the bathroom and experienced what she described to me and her sister via text to be a seizure. She texted that she lost consciousness several times as she tried to unlock the bathroom door for the staff. She said she was screaming for help when she lost consciousness and awoke surrounded by nurses; covered in blood with a bruising to her left cheek and her lip busted. The physician told me that he ordered another CT scan following her fall and reported no findings. I visited my daughter @8pm; she was visibly gasping for air; she was wearing a nasal cannula; there was no oximeter nor additional monitoring beyond a bed alarm to notify staff to assist her if she needed to leave her bed. I last saw her at 9:10pm. 02/07/2022 I received a call from the hospital staff stating that her STATUS HAD CHANGED. I could hear alarms in the background. I arrived at the hospital @ 15min later and she was no longer alive. The only evidence of a code having been performed remaining in the room was the breathing tube in her throat and the compression board on the bedside chair. The staff could not tell me why she died. The physician called me to offer condolences for our loss. During the call I asked questions regarding monitoring of her condition after she fell; I told him she was on oxygen when I last saw her, and he stated that he was not aware that she had been placed on oxygen. I asked why she was not being monitored with telemetry etc. and he stated that he had ordered she be monitored closely following her fall and he cannot speak to any occurrences after that time. My complaint is that my daughter was not treated as other similarly situated patients are treated, within the hospital's capabilities and would otherwise still be alive if not for the wanton disregard for her safety. They completely handled a situation as far as trying to put my daughter out after having a baby 24 hrs prior which I think was really discriminating. It was 7 p.m. at night when we were told a nurse informed the hospital we wanted to leave instead of following rules to have a Dr discharge her. They were very unprofessional then the charge nurse told us because of over capacity. I feel like we were improperly treated and would like an apology and an explanation as to why this happened.
