I am a senior citizen recently (Nov2021) bought a home at River view Florida. At the settlement we have paid $200 for the home owners association transfer fee and we did not receive any bills after that. On May 25th 2022. I have received an attorney certified letter asking $612.96 in late fees, interest charges and attorney fees. When I reached out to the home owners association (Rivercrest Community association) they mentioned that I did not pay $130 in January 2022 which I was not aware. I requested them that I can pay $130 now but they refused to accept the payment. They mentioned that it is in the hands of our attorney now and I need to pay the full amount. I reached out to Glausier ****** Attorney at Law and told them I am will to pay $130 which I did not know that I owe them. They were nasty with me and adamant that they will put a lean on my property if I am not paid the amount in full which is $612.96. I am seeking your help as a senior citizen moving to Florida to retire and getting harassed by this collection agency. Thanks

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/06/09) */ Mr. ******** is not a customer or client of ******** ****** *****. Instead, he is an owner within our client, ********************************, Inc. The decision to waive or reduce amounts owed is made by the Board of Directors of the Association and not by Glausier ****** *****. Annual assessments are owed to the Association on January 1st of each year. Under the Board's consistent collection policy, an owner who has been afforded reminder statements from the Association for that unpaid annual assessment on January 31, 2022, February 28, 2022, March 23, 2022, and May 19, 2022 (all of which which were mailed to the correct address) remains responsible for all resulting interest, late fees, court costs and attorney's fees. Additionally, Glausier ****** ***** has not engaged in "harassment". Instead, it has provided the statutory demand letter via mail per its client's instructions. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/06/16) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The harassments from this company is continuing still. I paid the original $130 on June 6th that is immediately after I got a registered letter dating 05-25-22. This was the only mail I have received and this company is abusing senior citizens and financially/illegally collecting late charges/ interest charges and attorney fees. It is necessary to stop them keep doing the same to other seniors like me. Thanks. Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/06/19) */ Mr. ******** is not a customer or client of Glausier ****** *****.
