I had one phone conversation with Michael H., who I understand is the attorney in charge of this office. At that time, I was considering obtaining a restraining order against my ex wife for harassment and had filed by myself with Sarasota County court. I called and spoke with Michael H. on June 26 and at that time, gave the office manager (Hasan) my credit card information and the office charged me a $5000 retainer fee. Literally one day later, I decided not to go forward with the action against my ex wife and made repeated attempts to contact Michael H. and/or Hasan to no avail. I sent many text messages to two phone numbers I was given ***** ******** and ***** ********. I received one reply text message from the office acknowledging that the "legal team had received my message" and that "work had been paused" and that they would call me on Monday (July 1) to discuss "next steps". Since that time, no one has called. I have sent several emails to the office email address on file, I have made several more attempts to call the office by phone and each time was told, no one is in the office and that someone would call me back. I have asked for my retainer fee to be credited back to my credit card and have received no reply. I also have sent a registered return receipt letter to the office, addressed to Mr. H. I think it is very unprofessional of them not to return my phone calls, answer emails and return my retainer fee, which they did not earn. Please assist me with this.
