      On September 1, 2023, my daughter went for a routine oil change at a Jiffy Lube located at *********************************************************. At the moment the service was good no issues, as she takes the vehicle down the road, the vehicle started emptying all the oil and she was left stranded on the side of the road. We called Jiffy Lube and was told to take it back, we had to contact our insurance company to have the unit towed back. Once there the vehicle would not turn back on and was told we needed to leave it since they believe it was the starter that went bad. We left the vehicle there and came back next day 09/2/2023 to pick up the vehicle. Once there we were told the vehicle has an after market starter placed (which we are not happy with that), then was told that the car has a protective feature when oil is low and just needed to be reset. The car has been running well BUT the hood has cosmetic issues due to a dent in the hood. I filed a claim with Jiffy Lube (claim # ********) I was told that a supervisor *********************** would reach out to me, I have left numerous messages and have not gotten any responses from **************, I again contacted Jiffy Lube and finally got an email on a Sunday from ************** requesting a call back, I have done so and no call back from **************. Jiffy Lube did refund for the oil change and gave us a free oil change (that we will never use) but no response in reference to the vehicle damage. I am looking to have the vehicle properly repaired.

      On 12/27/22 I went to jiffy lube to get a oil change before the holiday @6:59pm. After receiving the oil change within 1-2 days my car began smoking. Throught the engine, and also through my vents. I returned jiffy lube to tell them that my car had never done this before and it only happened after getting my oil change. I was told that the could not find the problem give it a couple of days maybe some oil fell and it is burning off. I then proceeded to call jiffy lube multiple times and telling them my car is still smoking. They put in the wrong oil. The manager stated that he would re-do the oil change if that would make me feel comfortable. Which he did and my car continued to smoke. The original oil put in was conventional, my vehicle is supposed to take synthetic only. Friday January 13 my husband went to a lighting game and came to get me from work and stated the car was making a loud clanking noise. The following day I took my car to tires plus where the mechanic looked at my car and noted their was no oil in the car. I did purchase oil for the vehicle. I had the vehicle towed to my house and called jiffy lube to tell them what happened. I then had the car towed to the mechanic shop and awaited for jiffy lube to follow up. They had a inspector come out. Falsely report. The mechanic shop worked on my vehicle. Jiffy lube has still not paid for the replacement of my engine. Totaling for $8,412.94 and, rental $1,831.93, the cost of uber and lyfts $350.16. Plus ****** for the diagnostic for my vehicle. For a total of $10,945.19 In addition after months of searching I filled a consumer complaint, I received a menacing call from someone at jiffy lube pretending to be the gentleman from consumer complaint, we have yet to get a response. This is getting out of hand. I need a vehicle I've had to miss work. Shorten my schedule. Missed numerous job opportunities because of this! it is completely unfair. Please please please assist.

      I had an oil change performed at the Jiffy Lube Dale Mabry Tampa location in August 2021 and discovered at my next oil change that they used the incorrect oil filter on my engine (an EcoGuard X2222 was installed which is incorrect. Per Jiffy Lubes ESM the EcoGuard X2500 or S4651 is compatible). The engine developed a terrible ticking noise and my mechanic advised it was a CAM/Lifter problem. I consulted another mechanic that estimated the fix at $3,300 to $3,600. After many failed attempts to speak with a Jiffy Lube representative to discuss the matter I finally received a call on March 4th from the Franchisee, Tyler, who was adamant the correct filter was used even though evidence to contrary was provided. He sent me a picture of their ESM showing the compatible filters which the EcoGuard X2222 is not! After discussing for a bit Tyler agreed to issue a refund of $116 which was the cost of the oil change. As of March, 21st I have not received a refund and 2 attempts to reach Tyler have been ignored. This is quite possibly the worst service I have ever received so I am seeking the assistance of the BBB to help facilitate the refund for me. As always I appreciate the support of the BBB and hope that you can help resolve this issue. Thank you!
