In response to Mirley's A******** customer review, #283246, we are sorry that they feel Famous Tate does not stand behind their products. The A******** refrigerator (Frigidaire model FGSS2335TF) was purchased from Famous Tate on 8/04/2019 and delivered 8/14/2019 (sales order NT08049053). Frigidaire provides a one year parts and labor warranty and Ms. A******** purchased a 2nd year warranty with her refrigerator from Famous Tate that is underwritten by Bankers Warranty Group (BWG). That warranty expired on August 14, 2021, almost 3 years ago.
Ms. A******** called Famous Tate on March 22, 2020 and spoke to her sales associate, Mr. R****, to report the refrigerator making a "loud metallic" sound at which time Mr. R**** provided the contact number to arrange for no-charge service. That was the last documented correspondence we have. We are not sure what Mr. A******** is basing her opinion on that Famous Tate does not stand behind the products that we sell and are sorry that she feels that way. Since our last transaction with Ms A******** was in August 2019 where she bought 3 Frigidaire products (Range, Microwave and Refrigerator), and all products are out of warranty, our assumption is there is a problem with one of them and it will be an out of pocket expense.Review from Jennifer O

This location is very unprofessional. I can’t even explain how disgusted I am with this location. I placed an order with this location in 2023 due to my house getting remodeled. I asked for all new appliances, the time came for me to get my orders now that my house is completed. I have been working with Ron the sales rep at this location who by far is very terrible, liar and unethical. I called him a couple weeks prior to my remodeling being completed and explained I’ll be needing the delivery of my appliances. The first thing that came was my dishwasher, when it arrived it was damaged/discolored on the front of the dishwasher. I called to ask what happened to the dishwasher they told me they had to send me a floor model because that is what he had. I as very aggravated because prior to this when I spoke with Ron he told me he had hid my order and everything was brand new to get a floor model without notice is insane. I asked Ron please I do not want floor models for none of my appliances I asked for brand new everything including my fridge Ron went on to say that was all they had and all my appliances would be floor model only and I would have to take what they have and that the manufacturer is not making The fridge anymore. So I called other famous Tate locations to see if they had the fridge and sure enough they did Ron lied. I filed a complaint with Bruce and was assure I would get a new dishwasher and fridge. Bruce told me that the location would be in contact two months later I never heard from famous Tate nor have my dishwasher been replaced. This place is very disgusting and I would like a full refund. 10:15 pm update…. After pulling the empty boxes from the day’s 12 Clearwater deliveries from the truck, there sat my brand new washer/dryer at the back… not wrapped or protected in any way.. when I mentioned to the driver that these were brand new a brand, new washer and dryer he seems surprised and he pulled out his phone and showed me pictures that he had taken this morning when he had them loaded onto his truck from the warehouse. Just as I predicted!!!!! They were bashed in on the sides along the pedestals & scraped up. The fronts of the machines were scraped up. He thought they were scratch and dent washer and dryer.. he was told by the warehouse Manager that they were used scratch and dent machines. That’s not true. They were brand new machines and happen to be the floor model. Why? Because when I sat down to purchase, it was discovered that the floor model was the last one, GE was redesigning the blue machine, I couldn’t order it. The ones on the floor in the new W/D display area were pristine and perfect. Both my husband and I looked them over incredibly well. There wasn’t a mark on them, they were brand new - otherwise I would not have purchased them. They were not in the scratch/dent area. I paid for the brand new warranties. It was a tax-free manuf promotion w discount too. If these were used scratch and dent machines, I would not have qualified for the tax-free or discount promotions that GE was offering on their new washers. So I refused delivery of the damaged pieces of trash on the truck because I did not buy scratched up dented damaged machines . They’ll be returning them to the store and I’ll be going into the store tomorrow to demand a refund. Purchasing from Famous Tate has been a huge mistake and I won’t make it again. If they give me a hard time on refund, next call will be our good friend that also happens to be a lawyer. Thanks for the runarounds, okey-dokes, avoidance, lies, frustration, anger, panic, sadness & ultimate despair Famous Tate.

Dented the refrigerator upon delivery. Also, cause a leak that damaged our brand new cabinets. Company tried to pawn it off on their installers which is a secondary company go figure. I've spent thousands buying appliances with this company for our rentals. Now that I see how they take care of the customer when things go bad I'm taking my business elsewhere. Very very poor service.

I bought a GE Washer dryer, set my sales girl over the phone because of my age and disabilities in three days. Found the set the first day I called based on my price and needs she called me back in half hour and headphones three sets that were in my price than what I asked for she recommended the set that was the most efficient and best cost combined. I took them they were delivered in two days. They are beautiful. Theyre exactly what I wanted and the customer service was above and beyond great delivery people and the units are beautiful. I love them they are exactly what she promised and they are a great set. Thank you fan famous Tate.Review from Kim A

*** in lutz bought a Samsung refrigerator, stove and dishwasher from the famous Tate in. Land O Lakes my mother got ill when we were having these items delivered and I had to take her to the hospital while she was in the hospital. This is when the hell started she ended up passing away during this time I did not use the dishwasher, I was busy going to the hospital after she passed away. I finally got around to using the dishwasher. It leaked all over the floor. Called Tate sent a Samsung technician out three times he was very inept. It took him three times to figure out that the tub of the dishwasher was bent and damaged and that’s where it was leaking from. Samsung kicked me back to famous Tate and they will not make good on the dishwasher, when I want replacement after years of purchasing appliances from them, this will be the last time I ever do they keep giving me the runaround after about $1000 out of money and three months of not fixing the problem until this point I didn’t have a problem, and now that I do they won’t fix it after over the years. I have spent a large amount of money with them when you include all the other appliances after the treatment that my partner and I have had to deal with him a Vietnam veteran who has a heart condition and me being older , they’re trying to blame us for the damage to a dishwasher tub that’s in a location there’s no way we could damage it or have the physical strength to do so this is the lowlife tactics and garbage that they have thrown at us, so do yourself a favor go somewhere else to buy until they rectify this problem, I will do everything in my power to spread the word terrible lowdown, dirty treatment of loyal customers, especially the Vietnam veteran and his wifeFamous Tate Appliance and Bedding Centers Response

*************** purchased a ******* Dishwasher from the Famous Tate store located in **** on 10/31/2023 on invoice **********. The dishwasher was delivered and installed on 11/3/2023. The customer reported a service to us on 12/30/2023.Our ************* requested ******* to dispatch service to the customer on 12/30/2023 as the product is covered for one year parts and labor from the manufacturer.
******* *************** went to the customers home and ran a short cycle on the dishwasher and found no water leak. The customer called ************* after ******* *************** was and stated the dishwasher was still leaking. to state the dishwasher was still leaking. Our ************* team followed up with ******* *************** and they stated their servicer could not find the leak.
The customer then advised our ************* Team they wanted the dishwasher replaced because they were concerned about the leak. The customer was advised we would have to get authorization from ******* for the replacement, which we would be happy to do since the dishwasher is still under the manufacturer warranty.
******* authorized the replacement on 2/15/2024. The dishwasher is scheduled to be replaced 2/29/2024 and there is no charge to install the dishwasher. We understand the customer frustration but there is a procedure we must follow with the manufacturers before an appliance can be replaced.Review from John S

This is a review about the delivery company that Famous Tate in Brandon uses. In Sept 2021, I bought a Speed Queen washer and dryer model 7. They hooked up the gas line and plugged in the electrical cord and turned it on. They let it run for about a minute, turned it off and said, "We don't smell any gas leaks. Speed Queen is a real work horse. You bought a good one." and out the door they went. My wife and I started noticing an occasional possible gas leak in our laundry room in early 2023. At the time, it would quickly dissipate. But over time it slowly got worse and worse. By November 2023, anytime we ran the gas dryer we both could smell the lingering gas in the laundry room. I finally called a plumber who was qualified to deal with possible gas leaks. He found the gas leak at the connection from the house line to the dryer gas fitting. I asked the plumber why this happened. "It happened for a couple of reasons. Even though the person who installed the gas dryer had tightened the joint very very tight, he didn't use any "Pipe Dope or Pipe Thread Sealer. You have to use some kind of sealant on the threads of a gas line. Otherwise over time it's going to leak gas due to the vibration of the dryer." The plumber charged me $200.00 to find the leak and to seal the gas line leak. Also we bought the Speed Queen 7 which is suppose to have a "Steam Feature" to help take out wrinkles. The water-line was never hooked-up to the dryer at the time of delivery. Again, I guess they were in a big big hurry. It still hasn't been hooked up. I spoke with the manager at Brandon Famous Tate at the end of December 2023, he only said, "I'll speak to the owner of the Delivery company. I'm sorry this happened to you."

In regards to ******************** complaint, Famous Tate does not install gas dryers. Installation is done by a third party installation company. In this case **************** would have paid the third party installation company directly. Famous Tate did not charge ******************** for the installation or collect any money for the installation.
That being said, we would be more happy to provide the name of the installation company to ******************** so he can contact them directly with his concerns. ******************* can email his request to ************************* at ************************************ Once we have ******************** information to look up his order we will forward him the name of the company that installed his gas dryer.

Our refrigerator and washing machine are only 3 years old and are already having things break. Fortunately we purchased the extended warranty. However the warranty company is stringing us along and not fixing or replacing our washer because the part needed is not available and they keep this we have to wait longer before they will replace the machine. Its been a month and still not resolved. Next time Ill just not buy a warranty and buy a new machine this is absolutely ridiculous, Im spending money washing my cloths at a laundromat every week just throwing money away!Review from Carina R

**************** is very poor. Bought ** washer and dryer and the dryer gave an error since installation. The installers did not assess proper functioning and when called back to the company they claimed should be a duct issue. I called a professional duct cleaner which cost $134. Then when the problem continued it was obvious the installation was NOT done properly. I went to Famous Tate (as they did not bother to answer a detailed email with pictures) they told me I have to call **. In a minute the ** call center agreed with me that the installation was done incorrectly (duct not to code for the machine (which was sold by Famous Tate) and kinked so would always give an error. Had to purchase the correct duct and do a new installation. NEVER BUY IN THIS PLACE AND LESS HAVE IT INSTALLED BY THEM. THEY SEND ANOTHER COMPANY and THEY DO NOT TAKE CARE OF THEIR ERRORS. The installers take literally 2 minutes and they are gone.Review from Keron F

We purchased a warranty at Famous Tate when we purchased our washer. The warranty company is awful. They assess over the phone, send the parts, but you are not allowed to schedule the repair until the parts arrive. Then the parts are incorrect. It takes a second week to get the correct parts, then another week to have a repairman come out. When this is over, it will have taken over THREE WEEKS. I have a family of 6 with no washing machine. I will never purchase a warranty from Famous Tate AGAIN. The get to pad their pockets and the customer is left to spend a fortune at the laundrymat. Famous Tate would be happy to review ************* case but to find her invoice we would need her address and phone number. If she could provide an address and or phone number, we would be happy to review her file and find out why there was such a delay in getting her appliance repair.
