    I paid this company $1300 to complete a survey to check to ensure repair work I paid for from a vendor was completed. I explained the project in detail before they took the job and they agreed. The employee came out and spent 3 hours on the boat. Reviewed information with me. All seemed good with what was found. I call a week later (after realizing the report was several days late). The owner of the company informed me they did find many issues with repair work that was done on my boat. He told me that because the repair work as so poorly done and contained obvious fraud that they would not be issuing the report to protect themselves from having to "get involved". I wasted a week waiting for a report they refused to issue and took an entire day off work to meet with the surveyor. Its shady they would refuse to issue a report. because there were issues found. Isn't the point of the survey to find issues and report them back to you? What are they hiding and why are they protecting dirty repair shops and sellers? They are just as guilty as the repair shop. Don't waste your time or money with this company.

    We are sorry you feel this way about our company. We have a long-standing reputation in this industry and are considered to be the most respected and reviewed marine survey company in the country. We maintain a 99% five-star rating with over 900 reviews online.

    We as a company decided after reviewing the vessel and interaction with you that we did not want to produce a report and refunded your money. So don't paint the picture you paid $1300 and were then provided nothing. Rather than have any more involvement with you or your vessel situation we decided to just refund your money and take the loss as opposed to being involved in a situation we felt was a bit shady. We still had to pay our engineer for his time on your boat and the time he did spend writing the report so our interaction taking you on as a client cost us money. But rather than be involved in whatever situation you have going on we decided that was our companies best path. At no time did we make any statement "The owner of the company informed me they did find many issues with repair work that was done on my boat. He told me that because the repair work as so poorly done and contained obvious fraud that they would not be issuing the report to protect themselves from having to get involved". What we did say is we were not comfortable being involved in the situation so we were refunding your money and we did.

    The engineer went over the report with me for an hour that day on the boat and showed me what was wrong and said the boat definitely had shady repair work going on. I have a list of items as we went over it in detail and many are blatantly obvious. The engineer informed me of fraud in detail committed by the repair shop and many other issues were definitely found. I don't understand why they cannot just put in writing what I was told in detail and honor the contract? Creating a report is the job of the survey company and by refusing to issue the report which I paid is a breach of contract. This company is covering up fraud at their customer's expense and shows they will not have the back of their customers in a dispute which is the entire point of having a marine survey done. The owner has the nerve to try and say that the customer is the problem because it is expected that they do their job and be honest and transparent. Very Shady. I am having this investigated further by the state licensing authorities, they are wrong, they know it, and the truth will come out. Hire someone else to do your survey if you want peace of mind with your boat purchase.

    Again, we have a long and very successful reputation in the industry. Any consumer that does the research will discover this. We were not covering up any fraud. We did not perform any work on your boat so no fraud could have been done by our company. You hired our company to perform the survey. As stated, upon interacting with the vessel and you we decided to not be involved in the survey, you or your boat issues in any way and just refunded your money. No fraud was perpetrated given we returned 100% of your money because we didn't any further involvement here. Your continued complaint only confirms we were 100% correct in our decision.
