      This is a scam. I will be calling my doctors office and my physical therapy office and my insurance company to deny any claims that they send to them. I was never informed that it was a rent to own product, otherwise I would have never met with this company. They need to be upfront with patients, people are on fixed or limited incomes and can not afford to pay this. I contacted the rep and told them, do not send anymore leads. Was told okay. I got more leads. This company needs to upfront with potential customers. My account has supposedly been closed(supposedly as of 5/2/24) and they better not send another bill to me or my insurance. I will definitely be contacting my local representative and possibly a lawyer. This is board line insurance fraud. Total scam!!!! Seems like PT is getting kick backs from this company. AVOID AT ALL COST. Order from Amazon or do not accept it.

      This COMPANY or should I say circus of a company with a bunch of **** *** people working here is a SCAM. They had a rep come to my Drs office and tell me the tens unit was FREE and it would be taken care of by my insurance….yeah sure. After several bills I returned the tens unit ( rrr) only to NOW have in my possession 12, yes,12 bills. I’m going to find Mr ****** and hand deliver his **** *** bills from his **** *** company and he will be shocked when I find him… this is a form of legal fraud and this man knows it !! MR ****** YOU SHOULD BE ABSOLUTELY ASHAMED OF YOURSELF FOR RIPPING OFF PEOPLE especially PEOPLE that are in pain. Unfortunately, you ****** *** the wrong person & your bills will be hand delivered along with MY BILL for transportation costs…why doesn’t the BBB shut this circus ?? down ?? Put it out there guys …. SHUT THIS COMPANY DOWN !!

      Literally a WORTHLESS company. Literally waited 3+ months for a knee brace for my husband that he never got. The sales reps never calls or text you back. When you do finally talk to someone at the company they tell you they are working on it! My husband went to a different company and had a knee brace in one week! Dont waste your time or money on ESMI. They dont care are customer service at all.

      Exact same stories as all the others. When I started using Tens units I was told by their representative that it would be at no cost to me as my insurance covered all costs and updates. About a year later I started getting bills. I paid the first two not understanding why I was getting them, but just to get them paid. This last once struck me as funny as it was dated 1/19/24 for 5/4/23 services. When I began investigating it all looks like a scam. I have discussed with my attorney, but be aware

      Very poor customer service and possibly fraudulent insurance claims to BCBS. I cancelled my account with them on 28 Nov21, which they acknowledged in email. However, they have continued now for 3, going into the 4th month, to ship me supplies and are submitting these claims to BCBS of Oklahoma. I have refused to pay for any services since 28 Nov21, shipped all supplies back to sender, and have sent them COUNTLESS emails, but they continue to send supplies and bills. I am reporting them to my insurance company, BCBS, and to BBB. They are continuing to make money from BCBS despite my account being closed. Sincerely, **** *****

      I got set up with a Tens unit as recommended by my P.T. I got the unit after a couple of weeks and was set up with it in the office from an EMSI rep. They told me that I would automatically receive supplies and insurance covered most of it. Fine. I do not use the unit as much as they expected me to when I received my first package of supplies -- pads, a battery pack and a bottle of Bio Ice roll-on. Hmm. Why do I need a battery pack when I have a charger?? And the Bio Ice....I never ordered it. My first invoice was only for the pads and battery - $35 approx and I paid it. Fine, put it all away for when I need it. I said something to my PT about the Bio Ice and they said that yeah, the company sometimes sends extra stuff to their patients. I *thought* this meant for free. Nope. A few weeks later I got a second box of pads and ANOTHER battery pack. WTH? I called and told them I don't need these supplies - I haven't even used all of the original ones. They told me that they would cancel my account and not send any more. Great. I can get this stuff cheaper through Amazon anyway. Now, I just received a bill for the second shipment AND the Bio Ice ($24!). I never asked for it. Should have returned it (my fault) but can't since I do use the stuff. But the principal of it is I never ordered it. I'd recommend another company or buy your own stuff if possible. All of the prices I paid are with insurance.

      I was offered a free EMSI Electrotherapy Device. Tried the device. Didn't work. Called the EMSI co. Received notification ok to return machine but due to billing issues, I would have to pay for it including any extra leads and they would refund me when all was received in the mail. I did everything the co. told me to do in Oct. 2021 and they have not sent my refund and will not answer my phone calls or address any messages that I leave. Very poor business practices and equipment. Would not recommend.

      Scam of a company. "Sold" me a TENS device said it would be $30 cost for me and my insurance would cover the rest. This was all a scam. They have been hitting my insurance for the past 10 months for hundreds of dollars and send me an invoice every month to pay my share. This company exists to milk insurance companies and take advantage of people in pain.

      I was told by my physical therapist that I was to receive a TENS unit completely pain by my insurance company. I received the TENS unit from EMSI and subsequent additional electrodes. And then the bills came for all of it. I was told that I was not responsible for its cost. I called customer service to complain and they told me that I agree to all of it including the cost. I told me, "no way because I could get one of those things online for the price that they were charging me". I asked to speak with a manager, who of course was away from her desk. I left a message to call back regarding the matter and explicitly said "no more sending me electrodes". No response for 4 days. I called customer service during REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS and I receive a voice message that they were closed. I left another message again saying "no more electrodes and stop billing me" with no response. This is a very suspicious company since they are not responsive to customer service and keep sending me bogus bills.

      The worst company. First my surgeon ordered a tens unit. I cancelled the surgery. I called both the rep and EMSI corporation after I received the tens unit. I wanted to send the unit back several times. EMSI told me no the insurance company authorized the unit and would pay the bill in full they didn't want the unit back. I explained I never opened the box. Now several months later I'm still receiving copies of payment from two insurance companies. I called the insurance company and was told it was a rental tens unit. They couldn't help me I had to call EMSI again to return the unit. Was told if they refused the unit back I was to call the insurance commissioner. I called EMSI again and was told by a girl by the name of Heather that she was closing the account and would be reissuing the insurance payments back to the insurance companies and I was to keep the unit. While she was in the process of doing this she put me through to a supervisor. He told me I never talked to anyone about sending the unit back. I did on 4 different occasions. Then he said they would not reimburse the insurance companies back for all the months they charged for the unit only two months worth. I needed to understand this is a business. Yes it is a business, however I never even opened the box. He also said he needed to check with Heather to see if she said she would reimburse the insurance companies. Basically in a round about way he called me a liar because he said she wouldn't say that. Now I'm waiting for a return bag to send the equipment back that was unopened and not used and the account would be closed. This is one of the reasons insurance companies charge so much because of companies like this. Do not deal with this company. Customer service is horrendous. I will be sending this unit back unopened in the original taped box. But rest assured it will be sent return receipt requested. D.G.

      I just now received the bag to return unused equipment which was billed to insurance companies. I have sent back the equipment. I still fell management was rude and this issue was handled very poorly. I recommend trying to deal with other medical companies and not this one.
