- June 24, 1:24PM - ****** USD - All Day Parking - Have parked here for a decade of business travel where 'All Day' is 24 hours. After put in for 24 hours, was charged twice for $****** (vs $73.20) as the definition of a day became 12 hours. The hotel 50m away is $58/day and thats for 24 hours.- The business asked me to read the fine print (the merchant, honkmobile, that does the billing) and said that this entity, evolutionpgs.com, is responsible. I cannot find this fine print.- This practice is both purposefully misrepresentational and unclear. - The add is on the honkmobile app which states 'all day' ... and does not state '12 hours'.Business response

For the record, this Complaint is on Evolution Parking & ***** Services, LLC. This BBB notice was sent to Evolution Parking Systems LLC, a completely different and separate company.
I have researched the incident since I represent both companies and will provide the following response:
The garage at the ****************** closes daily from 10pm to 6am. We have a sign posted next to the gate instructing guests to see the Valet Attendant at the **************** if they need to exit the garage during this closure time.
***** *********************** parked his vehicle inside the garage around 1 PM and paid for "All Day" parking using the Mobile App. In our system, "All Day" parking is set for 12 hours. At 1 AM, he received an alert on his phone that his parking would expire, so he made another payment of $72.30 because he did not see the sign and didn't know how to remove his vehicle. His complaint was received on June 25th, and the decision was made not to reimburse the guest. An email was sent to *********************** on July 2nd. He responded later the same day.
Thank you.Customer response

Parked in lot 890 in Ybor- ***** **, paid for parking at 10:43pm on 9/2/23. Went to dinner and stopped for a drink. Came back to my vehicle around 1:20am to find it had been towed. After calling multiple numbers, discovered from Target Towing it was "called in" at 10:40pm and towed at 10:47pm. Submitted an inquiry with Evolution via their website. Received an email from ********************************* on 9/5/23 about my inquiry. After providing him with the requested information he told me the vehicle was cited at 10:36pm, and since parking was paid for after being cited, reimbursement was not an option. Had the company checked one last time, they would have seen it was paid for and there was no need for a tow. I had just exited the vehicle a few minutes prior to this citation. I did not get service in that specific spot so I couldn't pay for parking until I got into the restaurant around the corner. I would like to be reimbursed for the funds paid for an unnecessary tow and a parking spot that was not utilized for the whole 7 hours I was granted. I did not park unauthorized in the lot for multiple hours before paying for my spot. This all happened within a matter of ***** minutes. It cost me $20 for a parking spot I didn't get to use and $180 to get my vehicle released. It seems like this business does this often and doesn't have a problem scamming people.Business response

Parking at Zone 890 has signs guiding customers to pay upon parking at all Evolution Parking Systems locations. You must pay upon parking and we inform them through numerous signs that violators will be both cited and towed. The violators vehicle was cited at 22:36 and was called in to be towed at this time as well. Vehicle plate 97APSI paid for parking at 22:43:51. Paying upon parking your vehicle secures your vehicle and prevents the violations one may incur.
If someone leaves the lot and has not paid, we 1) do not know when the actually arrived, and 2) our lot enforcement technology will capture unpaid license plates and issue a citation. We then call for a tow to make room for customer vehicles who are willing to pay and adhere to the terms and conditions of the lot.
******* states in the following email that she never saw the citation present as she had left her vehicle. She claimed to have not had service in the area and left the parking lot to then pay for parking. This location has a pay machine that accepts cash and credit card where payment can also be made to help secure our customers vehicles.
Thousands of vehicles park in this lot without issue and properly adhere to the payment terms and conditions. Parking fees and terms are clearly marked and to suggest that we are scamming people only illustrates how those are do violate basic tenets of paid parking are the actually ones who try to scam the system and get caught.

I paid this company $79-$89 dollars per night to valet my brand new car. I included a 20 dollar tip for when they went to retrieve my car. They gave me back my car and it would not accelerate more than 10 miles per hour. I had to get a tow and send it to the dealership. Because its new car it was under warranty. . I had to pay 140 dollars for an Uber black to take me back to a relatives house since I live out of state. I missed 2 days of work . I have contacted the company numerous times and I stay at 100 Marriott a year for work. This was also my best friends wedding and I have had another wedding at this same location a few years back as well. I want my 2 nights of valet parking removed off my Marriott bill. Thats the least you can do. How do you give someone a car that doesnt even run and to not even give me the heads up when Im handing you 20 bucks as a tip to get me the car. *************************** the manager has not responded to me. I wont go away I promise.Initial Complaint

I parked in their lot at *********************************************** on may 26th to take my girlfriend to dinner. I had previously set up payment through their app with the license plate ******. Due to a mistake by the *** I had to get a different tag. I paid 20 dollars to park and after being at dinner for 1 hour I came back and my car had been towed. I showed them proof of payment and they just said that because I had a different tag that I was out of luck. So I ended up paying 20 dollars, plus a 200 dollar tow bill to get my car out of impound, plus a 10 dollar uber, all just to park and go to dinner for 1 hour. The company will no longer respond to my emails. I feel that I should be reimbursed. I think that even if I had not paid for parking I should have gotten a ticket, not a tow. However this was not the case.Business response

********************* parked in our Parking Lot and did not enter the license plate of the vehicle he parked. Our enforcement team uses a enforcement platform that immediately identifies non-compliant vehicles. ******** vehicle was immediately ticketed and towed per the terms and conditions displayed throughout the lot.
Regardless if he claims he entered the wrong plate, we process vehicles based on violations and have every right under ******* Law to ticket and tow from our property for vehicles who violate the terms and conditions and rates of the parking lot.
Regardless if he paid under a different plate, the license plate that he did enter was not ticketed or towed.
By taking all of the facts we have listed above, it is not outside the scope of our investigation that ****** *** possibly be trying to deflect a second vehicle in violation that *** have parked by attempting to mask the paid license plate with a non compliant vehicle. This is why there is no subjectivity in parking enforcement. The vehicle at the time of payment review was parked in violation and was addressed properly.
We suggest **** faces his mistakes and admits when he is at fault and takes responsibility. Not make others pay for his mistakes.
