Red Cap Plumbing came to home and replaced the discharge pipe in less than 20 minutes! ***** was a friendly, professional technician who clearly knew what he was doing. This job was completed under warranty thanks to the advocacy of ********************* who realized the error. I had 2 different air conditioning techs come and inspect the system. Coil was leaking and no freon in the system. The unit was 21 years old and well beyond the expectations of a system. Time for a replacement. Red Cap offered several options and was extremely careful to explain the differences. The other company just gave a price and said nothing about the system to be installed. I went with Red Cap.The techs texted and informed me they were on their way. Arrived and worked non stop for 10 hours. Made sure that the system was up, running, and that I was pleased with the work. Everything was cleaned up, all parts removed from the old system, and informed me they would be back to install a different thermostat the next morning. At 8:00 am they arrived, switched out the thermostat for the correct one and left.I can appreciate the professionalism that was shown to me and that they made sure that I was totally satisfied with the work.I have 2 years interest free to pay off the system. Red Cap Plumbing tech did a simple drain pipe clean out under our sink from the kitchen and out to septic tank, they advertised a $99 special, but I paid $408 for same work, no real reason why was given. Bait and switch is a morally suspect sales tactic that lures customers in with specific claims about the quality or low prices on items that turn out to be unavailable in order to upsell them on a similar, pricier item. Then later, received a $16.99 charge/deduction on my debit/credit card today from Red Cap Plumbing, I did not approve any such charge. Appears that they have a so-called "Annually $269 - Monthly $16.99. No Dispatch Fee EVER", I never signed up for this. *** the guy who answered the phone today at Red Cap Plumbing said he would cancel the charge.Red Cap Plumbing, Air, and Electric Response

Not acceptable, Red Cap Plumbing never sent me a corrected billing for the $198.99 amount that they have on their books for us. I want to see a billing showing a credit for $198.99 and a $0 balance. Red Cap Plumbing also never paid me the $250.00 it cost to repair the hole in the wall under my kitchen sink that Red Cap caused in attempting to get Red Cap tech Eric's drain pipe camera out of the PVC plumbing, Red Cap is aware of the $250 billing. ********Red Cap Plumbing, Air, and Electric Response

Beware of Price gouging! I have a home warranty membership with Red Cap. In the last two visits, I have raised concern about the aggressive up-selling from the technicians. But today, was the most serious of all. Last night l, we had a significant ceiling leak and learned from Red Cap today, the leak was the result of a clogged drain a pan overflow from the AC unit in the attic. Red Cap provided us with 4 different options ranging from $1498-$11,000! We chose the urgent solution which cost me $1500 (see pic). You will notice they charged me $320 extra dollars to vacuum the water from the pan! I challenged the technician first, who directed me to *****, the Customer Service Director. ***** was very nice in phone but indicated the Manager would only credit me 10% of my total bill ($148) for the inconvenience. I also had another reputable AC company come out today for $99. They indicated that the recommendations from Red Cap costing up to $11,000 were completely unnecessary. Further, he indicated the service I paid $1498 to Red Cap for todaywould have cost me $500 with his company. Its rare that I write these reviews, but its important that I share my unfortunate experience with anyone who reads this so they may take caution. I'm currently in the 3rd week of a sewer line replacement. There has been several mistakes made. The new line has a leak and the city inspector came for a 3rd time today and of course the job has failed inspection AGAIN. My house has been flooded due to an error by a Red Cap tech. I will not be using Red Cap Plumbing ever again. If I could give them zero stars I would.Red Cap Plumbing, Air, and Electric Response

The service person was efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. We had scheduled the ac checkup through *********** My husband worked in the hvac business 22 years ago and understands how units can have issues when you least expect them. *************** *************************** had a hard job to do. He was very professional and did his job well. Everything was backing up into the lowest part of our home, our master shower. He cleaned from 3 different areas to get all of the roots and wipes, (that we will not be flushing from now on). He did an excellent job.
