On November 8, 2021, Servicore came to pressure wash my roof. My house had been freshly painted six weeks prior at a cost of approximately $5,000. Michael, Servicore's owner, used industrial bleach on the roof, which ran down the sides of the newly painted exterior walls, and ruined the entire paint job. For some reason, he also pressure washed under the eaves the house and removed the new paint from the concrete stoops. He was supposed to have a gentleman who was cleaning the windows help him on the ground, but that apparently didn't happen. Within hours of Michael leaving, it became apparent the damage that had been caused. After reaching out to him about it on multiple occasions, it was decided that he would assist my original painter with the repair at a cost of $450 in labor plus paint costs. That never happened. He didn't show up after numerous attempts to get him on our schedule, and the painter and his assistant completed the paint repair job on March 30, 2022. Since he had to bring his own assistant, we paid him $500 and the paint was an additional $200. All the walls and the stoops had to be repainted to repair the damage. Michael then said that was more than he was willing to resolve this, but only through his insurance company, and turned me over to his insurance company, who contacted me a week ago and said they would reach out via email for documentation, yet they never did. Thus, it appears we're stiffed for $700 to fix a problem he himself said was caused by his lack of "due diligence." Not only would I like to be reimbursed, but at the very least, I would like to make sure other customers know this is the type of service (or lack thereof) they can expect from this company.

Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2022/05/12) */ Contact Name and Title: ******* ****** Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: *******@servicoreclean.com We were contacted by Mrs. Frasier's window cleaning company (James) asking if we would assist him in cleaning her roof. They are very familiar with our work as we have serviced over 2,300 clients with a very high 4.8 rating on Google. We soft washed the roof with materials used on hundreds of other roofs cleaned. This is also the same material used and recommended by the national roofing association. The roof was cleaned, and she was please once we completed. The next day James reached out to me stating Mrs. Frasier is saying that there are light spots on her home. James confirmed there were light spots on the home that were likely caused by the solution dripping from the edge of the roof and being blown towards the home by the winds that morning. James then proceeded to tell me that she had or would supply the paint as we decided to go ourselves and paint over the affected areas. James then reached out to Mrs. Frasier to inform her that we would come and paint the areas and was told no by Mrs. Frasier. He stated she was told by her husband that he wanted to have his painter repaint the entire home with two coats and it would cost $4,300.00 as this was what they paid to have it painted. At this point, I decided to contact Mrs. Frasier direct as the request to paint the entire home was an egregious and over the top request for some bleach spots caused by inferior color pigment in the paint. We had a pleasant conversation and I ask Mrs. ******* to provide me with her painters contact info which she did. I then reached out to her painter Keith to discuss what needed to be done to remedy the situation. I was told by Keith that it only needed a light coat to cover the spots. He stated that it would cost me $350.00 for him to paint if I would be there to help him, and she already had the paint. I then ask when he could do the job so I could clear my calendar to help, and he stated it would be several months before he could get to it due to other work but would reach out to me when he was ready. I communicated this to Mrs. Frasier in which he had already discussed with her. Couple of months past and I reached out to Keith for an update on his schedule and he stated he would be going out there to take a look to prepared but did not have a date of completion yet as he was still on several other jobs. We continued to wait until Keith was available. Mrs. Frasier then called me just days before she set up Keith to do the painting. I could not mobilize that quickly so I reached out to Keith to schedule a date where I could help him as we agreed. Keith proceeded to tell me that he went out to the house to take another look and noticed that the house had been pressure wash in preparation for him to paint and that there were more spots that were there before, it would now cost $450.00 for him to paint, and he also stated that she now says I would have to buy paint. I reached out to Mrs. Frasier, and she tells me the painting will be $500.00 and paint would be $200.00. The details of the situation are now changing, and the price continues to go up. So, I decided it would be best for legality reasons to involves my insurance company to handle this issue. Mrs. Frasier stated she did not want to deal with my insurance company as I should just pay her direct. She also stated if I did not do as requested, she would ruin me and my reputation. My insurance company did reach out to Mrs. Frasier after several attempts. An adjusted also tried to reach out to her with no answer. Both stated her voicemail was full. Closing: This process started as a favor to help a fellow tradesman save his client money. A regular roof cleaning would cost over $750.00. James was only to reimburse me $350.00 to cover a little bit of my time and materials with him helping me. Mr. & Mrs. Frasier started this process out by trying to get me to paint their entire home with two coats for $4,300.00. This struck me as odd for what only needed a little bit of touch up which James and I agreed to do. This entire process has taken so long because they would not let us do the painting. They wanted to wait for their specific painter to complete the painting. This entire process would have been complete had they let James and I do the painting when we originally offered. I originally agreed to wait on their painter after speaking with him and discussing the cost just to please them as this would not have cost James and I anything but time to correct had they accepted our original offer. Now the cost has gone from $350.00 to $700.00 and I do not know what is going to come up next, I brought in my Insurance company to keep things from getting further out of hand. If she would like to settle direct without the Ins. company involved, I will with a predetermined amount. Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/05/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) We did not accept the idea that two people who weren't painters and who ruined a professional paint job in the first place were the best candidates for the job and stated so up front. We didn't know until the paint was fixed that we would require 2 more gallons of expensive exterior paint. We did our best to coordinate both the painting crew and Servicore, and I had given the company the heads up that the painting crew would be available in the about 10 days. I never heard back from him and he didn't show on the day of the repaint. I think we had been more than patient and more than fair in seeking some compensation for an error they clearly made because in the business owner's own words, "they did not do their due diligence" which would have involved putting up a tarp or spraying off the industrial bleach with fresh water. At this point, we have little hope that we'll ever be reimbursed. I did speak with his insurance agent who grilled me on providing proof of the damage, which I have, and who stated she would email me her contact info, but she never did. It was clearly not a priority from either Servicore or his insurer that this be resolved. Neither Servicore nor Jim The Window Man will ever be welcomed on our property again in any capacity. and I hope this serves as a warning to others who are thinking about hiring them.
