We signed the sales agreement with Carpenter Homes on 11/2/2020 for our home on********************************** with a deposit of $7500. Mike H. said that the "building permit would be issued any day now, being hand delivered on 1/19/2021". No permit application number was ever issued for this day. Finally on 2/17/2021 the company applied for a building permit which was approved in March and Carpenter Homes canceled our contract on the day it was approved. We offered to pay the increased lumber and building supplies, but were declined. Also the first buyer option after being canceled from the contract is of no legal value. We did sign section 16 A in the contract where the seller is able to cancel the contract for any or no reason which is totally unprofessional and unethical! We are more than disappointed with Carpenter Homes. They are completely unprofessional. Do not sign any contracts with them.

It is always our intent at Carpenter Homes, to deliver our homes to meet or exceed our Buyer's expectations and live up to the terms of the sales agreement. However, the purchase agreement allows for either the Buyer or the Seller to exit the agreement amicably, should there be circumstance out of their control that would prevent either from completing the terms of that purchase agreement. The COVID pandemic had disrupted our industry to the point where we are unable to make any predictions about timing,(permitting or production). The permit application was delayed in the Health Department and the Buyer was becoming anxious for us to make a commitment to when the home would be completed, started. We could not provide those answers. The process was out of our control at that time. So, after thorough consideration, based on the terms of the purchase agreement we offered the Buyer their money back to cancel the contract, so that they could find another home. The Buyers agreed and the purchase agreement was cancelled.Review from Phil V

I would like to thank the Carpenter team and especially Kinga for making such efforts to deliver our beautiful home. He have signed a contract with Carpenter Homes few months ago when the property was still an empty lot and with true joy we have watched the house becoming a finished home. We were tearful with my wife when we finally walked it closer to closing. All of the colors we picked out and details. It all came to life so beautifully. We are so grateful for the assistance we have received -starting with Kinga who answered every single question we had, through the construction manager Darrel and the management to assist in final stages of planning. Everything was well coordinated. We love the videos Kinga shared step by step. We would highly recommend that you purchase a home from Carpenter. They deliver outstanding product. High quality materials were used, we were previewed the home in each stage and we have received the Green Certification, as well. In addition home has a long guarantee. These homes are everyone one can dream of- convenient layout, kitchen with a sink in the island and my favorite the open concept kitchen. So when we entertain we can socialize with our guests. Thank you again to the entire team for making our dreams come true in such short period of time. We hope our friends will purchase one soon so that we can be neighbors in North Port. Thank you Carpenter Homes.
