This townhome is a sick building. The water is highly contaminated and there is musty smell. We have only lived here 3 weeks but my health is more important and we want to leave but they are requiring we pay a 2 month penalty and give a 30 day notice which would mean come June if we give notice we have to give them $6915 because they knowingly rented us a contaminated unit. Made a complaint with the Florida dbpr and they were not allowed to enter the home to check it out but while he was here another neighbor came outside and corroborated my complaints. There is also dog p*** in the common areas all of the time. I've incurred costs for dog signs asking tenants to pick up ****, A/C filter as the one provided is see-through and I was advised they don't provide better quality filters. I also purchased a zero-water container because there water is so bad that I can't even use it to cook and clean/prepare food or wash dishes. There water reads 252 with the zero-water tester which is highly contaminated. After I run it through the zero water it is 000 but this is not an acceptable or practical solution. I've purchased a mold testing kit and it's currently in hour 18 of incubation and plan on hiring a professional company which will run me $300-400. Prior to moving in I spoke with the assistant manager and advised her that I do not want a unit that smells like cats or must but it is definitely musty. They have made attempts to fix the issues however, the problems are deeper than a band-aid. They say they have no control over the water company but they do have control over their pipe system. I will be filing more complaints and will contact the water company again, state senators/rep/county commissioner and the Westchase Village *********** It's highway robbery to rent a sick townhome and the only solution is that we pay to get out of the lease, which we plan on doing but it's ethically wrong in so many way.
