I am the home owner of the house being sold. Tiago Title was the title company involved during my original purchase of the property along with closing on my neighbors property shortly after I closed on the home. My deed is correct however, my neighbors deed is incorrect since it shows both his lot and my lot on his deed. Now that I am trying to sell my home, I have it under contract with a closing date. In order to close on this property, per our contract, we need Tiago Title to correct the deed since they had created this problem from the beginning. We have spoken to numerous people to assist us in this manner for many weeks, and have been unable to obtain the proper communication and understanding of where this process stands. There is a good chance this may delay closing, which can cause my home to potentially not sell. We need both a release of mortgage and deed correction through Tiago Title, and have been getting inadequate responses on such a large matter. Their underwriter Old Republic has completely disregarded this matter, even though they are also greatly involved. If we do not close on this home, it can cause me to lose out on quite a bit of money if I cannot sell it for the price I am currently selling it for. This is a major legal problem, being that my neighbor has my lot number on his deed, and it is not being corrected in a timely manner.
