On October 5th, I had a car accident. Florida safety and towing towed my car to their body shop. The owner ********* had told me that it would only be a few weeks (three weeks at most) to fix my car. After three weeks of them working on my car I called for an update, they were unable to give me a time estimate for its completion. Every week thereafter I called to check in and each time they told me it would be another seven days to complete . At about six weeks I was told by *********, the owner, that the car was assembled, painted and waiting to be re-calibrated at ****** once that deadline for this came, I called again to see if my car was ready to be picked up and ********* did not answer. Shes zelled me money to cover with a rental car but never called back. She stopped answering my phone calls for about a week and a half after this . I finally drove to the body shop to check my car and it doesnt seem like any of the work that she had told me was being done, has been done. during the time this company had my car I received bills in the mail from toll services that my car had been through toll roads and I dont own a Sunpass. when I drove to the body shop in person, ********* told me my car would be done before Thanksgiving and it is now past Thanksgiving and ********* has not answered the phone or called me back to give me an update . The body shop has had my car for eight weeks and is not updating me or calling me back with a status . After reading some of the reviews- it seems like many people have had similar complaints that the body shop will hold your car for an lengthy amount of time, and seem to be dishonest in their work practice. There are complaints that this business drives peoples cars and goes through toll roads at 1 AM which is consistent with my bill from toll services while the car was in their possession. I feel as though this may be a dishonest business I would like my car to be repaired too its entirety.
