      in my opinion, these sadistic people are low life scum. i was in a hit and run, back was severely messed up. FHP had my car towed to them. I went there and gathered my plates and everything from the car, filled out paperwork, did everything they asked. asked if i was done and they said yes. now they put a 300 lien on my drivers license for not paying them. no phone call. no reasonable attempt to contact me. and rude when i called to have it explained to me. i was basically told, "what we did is legal, pay us our money" sane people understand legal doesn't mean right. I did what I was told and signed the title to the insurance company I have no idea why they are allowed to hold me responsible for any of this. The lady liked to say "we made a good faith effort" well so did I why are you legally more important? OH and you have to pay cash in person. no credit cards. anyone know why a business as large as them will not take credit cards. look it up.

      This vehicle was involved in an accident on 8/18/21. FHP Pasco called us. On 8/19/21, the owner of the vehicle came to our lot to get personal property from the vehicle and then signed a release to Geico. We received no other calls from Geico or the owner after this date. On 8/23/21, we sent a notice of lien to the owner as well as Geico. The owner never retrieved the certified mail advising him/her of what happens if the vehicle is not picked up. On 11/18/21, a wrecker lien was placed on the owner. On 10/10/22, we received a phone call from the owner at 8:05 am. We explained his lien information to him and that we made a good faith attempt to contact him by certified mail, but he never picked it up. He asked if he should sue, so we advised him that is not our call but did assure him that we followed all legal steps in the process. The owner then made the comment “legal don’t make it right.” The owner then stated he did not have insurance coverage on the vehicle at the time of the accident. We gave him all the necessary information to clear the lien. The owner made several negative comments such as “how do you sleep at night?” as well as a variety of other ways telling our lien clerk how awful she is. There was a point when she told him that she can answer his questions about the lien but if he continues to be hateful or speak to her in an abusive manner, she would need to end the call. He continued to harass her, so she told him she was ending the call and hung up the phone. Our lien clerk maintained professionalism at all times as well as explained the process to the owner. On 10/11/22, the owner came to our lot with cash. He was nasty to our lot attendant. Our lien clerk gave him the necessary paperwork and explained what was his and what needs to be taken to the DMV. He lashed out with abusive language ending with “burn in ****” before he left.
