On 5/11 a Starter was ordered from Sun State for $508.07. On 5/12 it was delivered to our packing shed where the truck was broke down. Delivery driver took my card and called into office to make payment and left. The order was made under **** ***** and delivered to 1130 Old Bartow Rd. I ********* paid for part. Not long after delivery was made, Hector was notified in your parts department that this part would not fit. His response was Yes its bigger but it will work. Our Mechanic tried and tried, Hector kept insisting it was the correct part. Are brought in two more mechanics and went through this same fiasco again. All 3 mechanics same conclusion, this was not the correct part. Hector finally said ok bring it back. Which we did. He Kept the part and said he would have to get with Robin about a refund. Well Robin took days to get back with us and after we called multiple times about a refund. Finally today 5/25 she says ok I can refund but I need the box. We don't have the box we returned everything days ago. So Hector tells us well take it back but charging 25% restocking fee.becasue they can't find the box. I should not have to pay roughly 120 for a BOX ! One its just a box and 2- They lost the box not me. And 3. They sent me the wrong part to begin with or there would be nothing to restock. No one in davenport office wants to help. I called 800 number off website and spoke to a very nice lady who transferred me to a Tony M (M*****) maybe But it was Tony M. I left him a message and have not heard back. I have disputed the entire amount of $508.07 with my bank. Davenport is holding my money and the part that I had to pay for even though it was wrong on their part. Horrible customer service and way to treat people. Giving them the running around and then holding the items they paid for as well as their money for days on end, with no resolution.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/06/03) */ Good morning, On May 25th or 26th Sun State's VP of Parts and service had a very nice conversation with the Customer where she explained the situation and her frustration. The VP apologized and immediately reached out the GM of the location and immediately issue a full credit for the starter on Invoice *************. That credit was applied to the customers Credit card. We are extremely sorry how this was handled, and the employees involved have been spoken to and this situation used as a teachable moment. The GM of the Davenport location has tried to reach out for follow up and closure. he will continue to do so. thank you.
