On April 29, 2023 I attended an initial consultation appointment at Dr. ********************** Weight Management Clinic. Dr. **** is not her real name. Dr. ********************** legal name is ******************************************. I attended my first appointment which consisted of a weigh in, and Dr. **** looking at lab work documents I brought with me to the appointment. That was the extent of her work up. Her next action was to pull out her price list. Dr. **** went through her price list BUT did not mention, No REFUNDS. Dr. **** strategically rested her hand over the No Refunds verbiage while she discussed pricing. Although I initially agreed to an 8-week bundle package, I later decided against the bundle package. Dr. **** was aware of my decision . The Visit on 4/29/ 2023 cost $407.00. For one visit!. Dr. **** took my credit card at that point. Despite the fact I had changed my mind and did not want to bundle package- she charged my card $837.00. She told me she had emailed me the receipt (she did not email it). Dr. **** failed to mention how much she charged my card! I checked my credit card statement and saw Dr. **** had billed me $837.00. That was the cost of the first visit and the 8-week bundle package. I reached out to Dr. **** and she did not return my calls. I sent her an email explaining I did not want a bundle package, I would not return. I requested that my credit card be credited back for the 8 future visits I was charged. I requested $430.00 be credited back to my card. Dr. **** responded to my email with an email. She simply stated No Refunds. Dr. **** has refused to provide credit. I am owed $430.00. To date she has refused to credit me back the erroneously charged funds. Dr. ********************** Weight Management Clinic is a scam. Dr. **** is a con artist and a thief. Her diet plan was a copy of a diet from ******* Dr. **** was not authorized to charge me $837.00. It is my hope to resolve the disputed charge.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: I was not provided an individual exercise or diet plan. I was provided a photo copy of a diet that was plagiarized from ****** (see attached). As I mentioned in my original complaint , this "doctor" conveniently placed her hand over the No Refund statement when she was reviewing the price list. Although I originally agreed to the bundle, I changed my mind BEFORE I left the office!!!. She charged my card anyway. She did not send a receipt to the phone I specified, she sent it to my work phone !!! What is abhorrent is, this doctor believes she is entitled to $ 837.00?! For what ?! Again See attached. She is unethical and , is scamming people. The way I am experiencing this, the so called "doctor" relies on people feeling shame and embarrassment about their weight and about being conned. She relies on that shame , thinking they wont make a report to the police for fraud. Just FYI , NO NPI OR LICENSE IS LOCATED AT ******* DOH!!!!!!!!. A reputable doctor would adjust the bill since I am not interested in going forward. This SCAM artist is not willing to adjust billing? She does not consider $407.00 enough money for her supposed consult?! I don't accept this response.Please see attached document for the "Individual consult" "Dr" **** provided. She reports a no refund policy?! She created that policy! She is the one who overcharged my card and now refuses to adjust billing. SCAM.
I was trying to be reasonable and find a compromise. If this were a reputable business they would have agreed to a compromise. It is NOT reputable.
