I sustained an on the job injury 9/15/2022. Corvel Corporation is the workers compensation insurance the employer uses. From the start there has been issues with the company not contacting me, not assisting me with questions or scheduling of appointments, etc. I have been assigned no less then 10 different adjusters throughout this process and none of them have been helpful or easy to speak with. I have sent countless emails to adjusters and supervisors as well as left numerous messages only to have them not answered. I am in constant pain and simply need questions answered.Initial Complaint

I was not properly nor promptly notified of a claim against my ********* comp policy. Due to the negligence by Corvel/Pie Insurance my policy is now under litigation. The date of supposed injury was 7/9/2023 and the claim was submitted 8/21/23. I had no knowledge of said claim until I received a letter in the mail on 9/25/23 with a letter head from the **************** for court ordered mediation dated/mailed 9/11/23. I immediately called my policy holder and asked if there was a claim on my policy. They then informed me there was indeed a claim and provided the claim # and adjusters information. Again, I had to call and retrieve this vital piece of information. I reached out the adjuster who's name is *************************. She informed me that she was the second adjuster placed onto the case on the date of 9/21/2023 and ***** was the initial adjuster. My main concern is that ***** was notified of the claim 8/21/23 and never contacted me. I actually had the pleasure of speaking with ***** and asked her why she never contacted me. Her reply was that it was accidently swept under the rug because the claim was very complicated and at the time she was swamped with new employees she had to train, but that's normally not how she handles her cases. It took over one month for me to be notified of this claim. I wouldn't have known anything if I hadn't received that letter in the mail from the ****************. Since I was not properly notified in a timely manner I am no longer able to defend my claim and my work comp insurance is now under litigation and may even see trial. Please help me with my investigation and objection to dischargeability of my company, as I was neglected of proper notice. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I had a slip and fall at work (******** prime steakhouse) on May 20, 2023 and injured my shoulders. Every time I lift my arms too fast or too high, my shoulders, pop/click and there is a sharp pain. I filed an incident report at work and got the process started for Workers Compensation. I went into the urgent care that they work with where the doctor said I need an MRI. Spoke with my lawyer and he submitted a request for an MRI authorization. it has been almost a whole month, and this company has been negligent in their duties to provide the care that they are obligated to provide under the Workers Compensation of ******* laws. They have done the bare minimum and are hoping that my injury heals by the time they get around to doing what needs to be done. I have not even received my first temporary disability check, and Ive been out of work for almost a whole month, living off my savings. Even the doctor at urgent care is astonished by how negligent they have been with my case, and went ahead and fully transferred my case over to orthopedics in order to get them to do what they are legally obligated to do. My lawyer and I try to call my adjusters number and it always goes straight to voicemail with no return correspondence whatsoever. In the meantime, my condition is getting worse and worse and ** still not able to go back to work and my savings account is dwindling as well.Business response

On 7/12/21, my son was injured on the job at Outback Steakhouse (Bloomin' Brands) and received care for his hand that had been cut in multiple places by a broken drink glass. The manager completed the required workers' comp report the following day, 7/13/21.
The following week, I received a package from Bloomin' Brands' workers' comp claims administrator, Corvel Corporation, requesting that I contact them via phone so that the benefits could be processed. After returning from vacation, I made my first 2 calls to Corvel and left a message on 7/26/21. I then went on to make another 10 calls over the next 6 months, leaving a total of 11 messages for 2 different reps that went unreturned.
After having gotten collection notices (I was billed directly), I went ahead and paid the associated hospital bills totaling just under $1,400.
On 1/24/22, I was finally able to speak with the assigned "Claims Specialist" only after insisting that the receptionist connect me with a manager. I was encouraged by that conversation. The Claims Specialist started an email chain that day and asked that I send her the associated bills and payment receipts for processing. I never got a reply, and sent another 3 emails over the next 5+ months before finally getting a call back from the Claims Specialist on 6/8/22, but only after reaching out to Outback for assistance.
Again, I felt the conversation was productive and I was instructed to send additional specific documentation from the hospital, which I had to request, but received and forwarded everything on 6/17/22.
Once again, I had to send another 3 emails and leave another couple of voicemails over the next 6 months before hearing back on 12/16/22, but only after reaching back out to Outback for assistance again. At that time, I was assured a manager was involved and that the checks were being cut and I should have my reimbursement within a few weeks.
After more unreturned emails and voicemails, I have still not been reimbursed.
