I bought a Jeep Patriot from Ray at Price Wise Auto Sales. He was nice and courteous during the buying process. Understanding that it was a used car and I did buy a 3 month warranty from him. I told him that we were concerned about a check engine light and he turned it off and suggested that it was due to a battery change. I told Ray I was going to have the vehicle checked out and if major expenses were found how would he handle it. He said " I will do the right thing and work with you". This is not the case. Today is 1/24/22 and I began texting with him on Dec 13, 2021. Fuel pump check engine light, brake calipers leaking and need new drums, all four motor mounts out and struts bad. Close to $2,000 in parts and repairs....In the vein of doing the right thing, he texted me that the "Boss man is ordering the parts for the Jeep". I was encouraged. On Dec 17th, Ray said his boss was traveling to Egypt and was supposed to call. Ray did fix a broken tail light but as far as the list that he agreed to order parts for, nothing but words then long periods of Silence. I really wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt...I kept Texting his word about committing to do the right thing. I finally said it is going to cost me close to $2,000 to get the Jeep in safe shape for my wife but in good faith and in compromise on Jan 11, I said I would take a $500 refund. No response to that offer. The response today from Ray 1/24/22 "Why even contact me after a terrible review". I informed him, I had not yet written the review. As I write and submit it now, I encourage all to make this business accountable by writing BBB and Google reviews...Had I read more of them, my wife and I would have been a bit more cautious.
