Where do I start....I bought a 2008 ****** Rav4 for $7,000 cash, Blue book said $9,500 value in KBB. 12 days after I bought it and *********************** the engine blew up by ***********, a rod was thrown through the engine block. 6 mechanics said they've never heard of a ****** Rav4 doing this. I had to rent a car for $200 to get back, it cost me $200 to tow it to a garage. Then, another $630 to tow it back to ******* from ***********. I asked the salesman on 7 different occasions at the store how this could happen, he did try and speak to the owner, his boss and I appreciate that. I was then informed the owner said the engine "is not my problem". After towing it back from ***********, my mechanic bought an engine to install, put it on the rack and the photos shown were the frame of the truck. The mechanic said the Rav4 was lifted up and was making cracking noises like it would fall apart. It was the "worst car they have seen in 35 years". They said "there is no way we are putting an engine into that vehicle". The car is junked, brand new carpet was put in to conceal the danger as well as some kind of black "puddy" that is pictured. Bolts in the frame are completely rusted and are about to crumble. Please...do not allow this car lot to steal your money. My family cannot afford this theft from us, but I am thankful that I was not killed in this joke of a vehicle. I asked for a different car, a refund or just a meeting with the owner; the owner has never reached out or spoke to me, I dont even know his name. He never showed. I have texts as proof. We are out $7,000 for a truck, and over $1,000 in towing and shop costs. Be watching on local TV shortly as stations have asked for access to the truck to do the story. Biggest mistake I've ever made in my life.....Update: owner will not meet me in person and is trying to give me another one of their "fine" vehicles....Review from Roshunti M

I would advise everyone to NEVER buy a car from here..We made it 37 miles off the lot and car totally quit.. ended up having it towedto a shop..They wouldn't return calls or texts..We bought the warranty but they put wrong mileage ( our own fault for not checking) on warranty) took our 200$ and the warranty was expired the next day!! Who does that...Asked for our email to fix and never did..So many calls to them with no reply..it cost us another 1400$ just to get the car home and it has been about 3500 in repairs to get it running again..They sell junk cars and have no accountability..I have proof and can back everything I wrote on here.

As **** stated in his review ; Ive had the same issues. This business should be avoided at all cost. They dont answer the phone after they sold a vehicle. Vehicles are all over priced and they all have issues , every single one of them.Review from Jon Q

Don't be fooled by the Jesus picture hanging in the office. This business should be avoided. Traded in my vehicle for 1 of theirs. Didn't like the final price so I was walking out. I wouldn't buy without a warranty, but we were about $200 apart in my final price and what they would do the deal for. As I was leaving, the owner offered the warranty for free, so we had a deal. Before I got back home, the engine started overheating. I was close to home at that point so I made it the rest of the way. As it turned out, the coolant was bone dry -- I added coolant equal to vehicle's capacity. I called and they said they had flushed. I said mistakes happen and it seemed to be fine. After about 1k miles of driving it began to have starting problems. Turns out, the head gasket had failed and coolant was getting in the 4th cylinder (no smoke though). I called Standard Auto and they told me to call the insurance company. But it turns out they never filed the insurance paperwork. I called Standard Auto back and explained the situation. The man on the phone said that the salesman was with a customer but would call me back in a few minutes. After 24 hours, I called back. No answer. After 48 hours, I called again. No answer. For a month now I have called and left messages and no response. The dealership is an hour from my home, I work nonstop, plus take care of my wife who just had surgery. Otherwise I would go down there in person. I don't fault the salesman here. I fault the owner who sold me this car (salesman was out that morning). This dealership gets bad cars at auctions, slaps some lipstick on the pig, and then sells. Owner lied about the warranty. And then refused to even take my calls. Only after this experience did I read reviews about Standard Auto. I should have read beforehand. You'll see a multitude of experiences just like mine. My best advice is go somewhere else. Anywhere else. The chances of having a worse experience is next to zero.
