Absolutely unbelievable horrible experience after 6 months. I live out of state and trusted that repairs and tenants issues were taken care of. To my surprise, Jolene charged me a lot for big repairs without my consent which was against our management agreement by using her cousin as a handy man to do most of the jobs and charging from $25/hours to 60/hours right after first month of her job plus an additional service call charge of $40 on the top of every bill. She insisted that her cousin was the cheapest that she can find from AC, plumbing, drywall….fixing and like all in one source and kicking out our previous vendors. No matter that the owner has to pay for insurance, taxes and water bill, Jolene created lots of invoices to eat the rent income from the owner. I asked many times to stop using my money without my acceptance, she either kept silent and continued and just ignored everything saying either too busy to answer or in a car accident/hospital….I found out later that was not true. She created invoices from the vendors that did not even exist and herself deduct from rent income She took the tenants deposit, changed it into income rents in order to deduct the management commission from that amount. We found out many expenses were charged twice such as painting, utilities deposit when tenants move in. Another bad behavior was that she signed the lease under my (landlord) name and did digisign using my name without my consent. She left tenants in default rights after the first months and just told me the lease was signed and I did not give me any single piece of information about the tenants which was against the signed management contract. As an owner, I asked her to reimburse the incorrect expenses that she stole from me above, she challenged me to court for such claims. SO UNETHICAL IN SO MANY WAYS. I am confident the positive reviews are family and friends. BEWARE!
