Was a loyal customer until a couple of days ago (spent thousands there in the last 10 years). We wanted to replace a pool thermometer that stopped floating. We asked for the same type item. They sold us a pool thermometer that was not a floating one. We didn't know that and only found out it was the wrong product after we opened the package. When I tried to return it because it was not the product we asked for, the manager refused to take back the product because the package had been opened. I explained that we were sold the wrong product but he didn't care. He said the owner of the business won't allow any returns if the package was opened. We thought we were getting what we asked for when we bought it but it wasn't. Maybe they misunderstood us when we asked for a floating thermometer, who knows. But now they're sticking us with a product we can't use. The day we bought that item we bought other items that totaled over $180. You would think they'd try to accommodate a loyal customer instead of sticking them with an $8 item. They no longer deserve our business, so, going forward, forward, we're not going to give them any more of our business. There are other Pinch A Penny franchise stores in the area who I'm sure will be happy to get a new customer. The old saying, "Penny wise and pound foolish" really applies in this case.
