I moved to ******* 2 years ago and rented a unit from ADVENIR AT MONTERREY. It was a rental sight unseen. When I got to the unit it was filthy with cockroaches and mouse droppings everywhere. Was upset unit looked nothing like photos online. Once moved in I noticed crime in development fights between neighbors the constant smell of medical marijuana through the air vents in unit. I also felt the paint in unit to have lead in it. I had daily constant headaches w/ feeling of nausea.I FEARED for my safety and asked if I can break lease . I was informed not without a hearty two thousand dollar fee. I had stuck it out to end of lease was elated to leave development. I had paid my last months rent cleaned unit from top to bottom and happily handed in my keys to unit and mailbox and said goodbye. I come to notice I have a derogatory on my credit report from this company stating I owe an amount of $586.00 . I am extremely upset due to the fact that I paid my last months rent cleaned unit spotless and hired carpet cleaners for carpet cleaning in unit. I am Pleading for an investigation to be opened on this company I feel this is theft by deception!!!!!!Business response

The site team notes that while ****** did not get to see the unit prior to move in, her relative toured the community and provided their opinion of Advenir at Monterrey to be a suitable fit. The only two complaints received while ****** resided at our community, pertaining to safety, was complaints that she believed trespassers were residing in her attic space, that of which the team inspected and confirmed by no means could that have occurred. The second incident in May of 2021 was reports of a fear for safety after there appeared to be dog f**** (not in a bag) in front of her door, where an animal relieved themselves without an owner picking it up. Please see the attached document of **************************** move out charges which have photo proof on the last page to support all charges. She was charged for 80% of a carpet replacement as it was apparent her animals had soiled the carpet repeatedly and for sanitation reasons was unable to be cleaned. She was also charged for replacement vertical blinds as the ones that came with the apartment rental were damaged/missing. Lastly, you will see our service teams had to dispose of one bag of trash that she was also charged for. Please let us know if we can provide any further information to defend our rental history with ************************. Thank you!
