My wedding reception occurred at your venue on March 11, 2023. I have been trying to work through the level of command as services rendered were not as agreed per the agreement with ***********************************. Although ********* validates that services were not executed as agreed and adjustments in billing would be made nothing has been done. I reached out to ********* at least a week before our wedding reception as we never heard anything since we made our downpayment. What I received in return was an "away email" outlining that other events were taking priority. The day before our wedding (3/10/2023) ********* responded by text asking me if i had a list of who was attending and what entre they had selected. This information was already shared via email, however I replied to her via text with the detailed excel sheet (attached). The day we made our downpayment, ********* advised the venue would be setting up (including centerpieces, gift/card tables, etc) The day prior to our wedding ceremony (3/10/2023) She got back to me and advised that the earliest we could come to bring our wedding items for setup was the day of the ceremony no prior than 9am. I confirmed my sister wouldn't need to come and would be there at 9am. At 9am on our wedding day my sister ***** arrived at your venue and the woman at the reception desk had no idea there was a wedding on such a day. After searching through the computer and paperwork my sister asked for a manager. Said manager also did not know where or when our wedding was being held. After much time, the manager was able to confirm our wedding that day but had no idea anyone was coming in. My sister, the matron of honor, asked if she could set up the (centerpieces, gift/card tables, etc) as no one was able to help. She was almost late picking me up for my wedding due to this. You can only imagine how I felt having to deal with this prior to my wedding ceremony. We had an open bar scheduled from 3pm-5pm. When guests arrived at 3pm they were charged for their drinks. After the groom's man noticed this he brought it to the attention of the bar tenders as he knew we had an open bar. He was told by the two bartenders verbatim "We don't know what we are supposed to be doing, we did not know there was a wedding reception" He then told them to figure it out and asked for a manager. At around 3:20pm the open bar started. I was told by a manager that as a "courtesy" he would keep the open bar until 5:15pm. You can imagine how unpleasant this was explaining and apologizing to my guests on why they were being charged when they were told it was open bar on my wedding day during this time. Our agreement was that there would be 3 appetizers (Spanakopita, Mac and Cheese bites, and bruschetta skewers) passed around at 3pm during "cocktail hour" My husband and I arrived at our wedding reception at around 3:20pm. The only tray being passed was the spanakopita, we each had 1. When asking the bridal party and guests if they had seen the other trays being passed, they said they saw it once and then the servers and plates were gone. I don't even know how this is possible as we were aware it was $12pp and no one even seemed to have seen them including us within 20 min of the reception. When we asked the ladies passing the spanakopita they said they did not know. Our agreement was there would be 3 entrees (Cauliflower steak, Eggplant, and Spinach Ravioli) When my fianc and I tasted the entrees months prior we selected a picatta sauce for the cauliflower steak as it had no sauce when presented. ********* said it was not a problem at all and it would be easy to add the picatta sauce. When my husband and I received our entrees at our wedding his ravioli had picatta sauce. When I went around to the guests tables they all too had picatta sauce on their ravioli. The cauliflower steak entrees had no sauce. I immediately brought this to the manager's attention and was told "well we got it right for the ones that had no sauce which were 4 of them" This also is not correct. Only 1 ravioli and 1 cauliflower steak had no sauce. To add to all this the entrees were cold. I did the best I could do by sending a very specific excel sheet (attached) which included guests name, entre selection, and 2 of which in a separate column to include no sauce. I even included table numbers. I am still shocked at the manager's reaction to this. At the reception of course my husband and I kept calm and pleasant to the staff to not allow all of this to ruin our night. At 4pm the matron of honor asked where the cake was. ********* came and asked myself where it was. The cake was purchased from Publix, and we provided *********'s contact information. How our wedding reception venue would not have been identified earlier in the day typically wouldn't surprise me, however given at 9am that same day no one was aware that my wedding was even taking place. To add insult to injury, when I asked for a round piece of our cake to be saved for us, we received a chopped up piece of cake wrapped up in clear wrap (picture attached) . What in the world happened to our cake when it was taken into the back to be cut is beyond me. I had to obviously throw it out, and we will not have it for our anniversary celebration. At the very end of our wedding reception I was approached by ********* asking for payment because **** (groom) credit card was declined. To my knowledge no agreement form was signed authorizing such a transaction on this card, second it was not matts card it was mine that was used for downpayment, third the card was compromised which is why an alternate card would be needed. If I had been advised of any of this, there would not have been an issue with the payment form. Hindsight, I am glad it happened due to the gross negligence of execution of the agreements outlined in what our wedding reception would entail. My husband and I left on our scheduled honeymoon the next day and the following occurred We had no cell service as we were in ***********. I was able to receive some inbound text messages the next day which included threats of calling an attorney, and concerns of text messages being blocked. I spent the next days sick to my stomach. We have no concerns with paying a bill as we obviously choose this venue. What I do have concerns with is lack of execution and harassment of both myself and my mother in law.My husband's mother then sent a message that went through to us advising she was receiving calls asking for payment which also violated our privacy by advising the cost of our wedding reception. Please note that the only reason the venue had my new mother-in-law's phone number was because she slipped and fell breaking her wrist and an incident report was provided. My new mother-in-law was called on her phone number asking/advising the following: "Who in the world has a wedding reception and doesn't pay for it then goes on a honeymoon?" "We need you now to pay the bill of $x.xx" "If payment is not received we will call the police and attorneys at 4pm by Tuesday" After receiving this message we spent $80.00 for access in order to call my mother in law as she was distraught. My reputation as the new daughter in law was tainted that day, and unfortunately my mother in law had to play the voicemail in my disbelief for me today when I went to pick up our dogs after returning from our honeymoon. I have the recorded voicemails and transcripts.
