On September 8, 2022, I left on consignment several items of women's apparel on consignment at FiFi's Resale Shop on ****** Island and was told to wait until after October 1 to contact the shop for information about sales and whatever portion of the amount collected for my items would be paid to me.On October 4, 2022, I went into the shop to ask for an accounting of the items and was told by the person trying to help me that no record appeared in the shop's database for items I'd left n consigment but that the manager would contact me to give me an accounting as she had special ways of accessing shop records. The manager did not call me back.Two days later, I called and did speak to the manager, who said her name is ***. She talked non-stop for several minutes with a lots of nonsense about all the trouble she had gone to looking for a record of my items but never got around to admitting that no such record was located. I requested compensation. She denied my request. My impression is that the business manager is a dishonest person and, most likely, incompetent.Business response

Good Tuesday afternoon. I am a business owner of Fifi's Fine Resale (consignment stores). We are all independent owners. My current locations are in ********* (************** & Apollo Beach). Each Fifi's runs their locations a little differently. We are very proud of our reputation in this industry with over ****** consignors and as many customers.
Please make note: This complaint should not be listed for the Apollo Beach location. It is owned by me, not *****************************. ***************************** owns one store in ********, **.

I'm sorry this consignor had these issues and wish we could help out in some way. But the ****** location is not owned by me, ******************************

I received a complaint against my business-FIFIS OF ****** on Wednesday
October 26, 2022.
I am just receiving this letter of complaint now as I have been out of the
country for six weeks.
The complaint was made by Gay Claiborne on September 8, 2022.
I talked to my manager about this (*********************) as she helped **********************
***************** stated the customer was very rude as we only take certain brands
of clothing and they have to be in excellent condition and customer upset we
gave back items.The manager could only take a a few pieces.
We only pay the customer if the item(s) sell. My manager kept notes
regarding the times ********************** called. The manager asked ********************** to
tell her the brand names and anything else she knew of the items. The
manager could then look up under name of items. We could then credit
customers account as if item(s) sold.
We have ****** consigners and none have made complaints. My manager is not a
dishonest person and certainly not incompetent. I trust her with my

I am rejecting this response because: statements in the response untruthful. As the customer, I was not upset because of any store policy about which brand items are accepted. I graciously left items that were accepted. When I returned to collect my portion of sales and was told that the store had no record of items having been accepted, then I was and still am upset. I am upset that the person who seems to be in charge knows nothing personally about the incident, apparently, having been absent allegedly for the past six weeks, and accepts the lies of a person whose position might be jeopardized by admission of her honesty.

Clearly, it is impossible for me to furnish a list of items consigned at this business as I received no such list at the time of consignment.
