This has happened twice with this dentist. On the first occasion I was informed that I was covered. Upon leaving I was given a bill for about $150. I paid it. This time I was again informed that I was covered and then received a bill for $1217.30 which I will not pay. I wish these charges to be deleted.Business response

On diagnose date and before treatment is render, the ESTIMATE fees and treatment are shown to patient. authorizing and understanding treatment; as a mutual agreement. Fees are according to every patient's plan with their insurance by coverage and percentage. The treatment was satisfactory completed and send to insurance, Once EOB (explanations of benefits) from insurance it is received, it gets enter into patient's charts with the amount that their insurance covered or not covered. Patient's insurance did not cover part of the treatment and therefore it becomes patient's responsibility. We attempt to reach our patient explaining and to solve the matter with a payment plan options and giving a courtesy discount to help out patient. Unfortunately, several attempts were made to address the issue. However, it was unsuccessful. It is a fabrication of the facts. This is the second time this happened On the first occasion I was told it was covered then as I am leaving the front desk hands me a bill for $150-180. They made the decision to go forward then and only then was I advised that I have a bill NOT covered. Had I been informed ahead of time I would have waited They took that decision away form me.
