Our misadventure with **********************'s Furniture in ****** ** started on 9-14-22 when we got a quote of $2450 to refinish our bedroom furniture including side tables, 5 drawer dresser and mirror and 6-drawer dresser. We wanted it painted, a white exterior with gray drawer fronts. Mr. **********************'s first product was atrocious, paint drips every where, missed spots, they even painted the silver legs and trim pieces white with overspray. They claimed we did not tell them to leave the trim silver, which we assumed was obvious, the trim matches the legs and the handles. They over sprayed in all the drawers inside as well, however this was corrected when we returned the furniture. The mirror was also badly painted with overspray. Apparently there was no effort to tape the mirror from the frame which was painted white. With our complaints, they took the furniture back to work on it again and basically said they couldn't fix the trim they painted over and it was our fault that we did not direct them to leave the silver trim unpainted. Mr. **********************'s second attempt to complete the job was promised to improve and finish the job and with that we unfortunately paid the bill in full. Upon delivering the furniture to our home, we observed multiple errors and complained again that the job was not finished. Mr. ********************** said it was the best they could do for the furniture. Now further examination of the furniture, we have noticed paint blobs, poorly painted areas of uneven paint and in many places drips, and in some areas the white paint is now yellowing. We have provided pictures of the furniture and the poor quality of the job. Now we realize that every piece of the set is poorly completed and needs to be redone. We would like our money back to have someone else redo the job.Business response

First we take any complaint seriously, and pride ourselves on quality of work. That is why the business has been in existence for over 50 years. With that said it is unfortunate that you were not satisfied with the painting of your bedroom set.
When we first delivered you pointed out some issues, and we agreed at that point to address your concerns. We even addressed concerns that at the time were outside the scope of the original work.
We had you and your wife in several times to give input so when we did make a second delivery attempt you would have seen the finished product prior to delivery. Which is exactly what we did. So a second delivery was set up. You paid prior to delivery.
After delivery you contacted us about a small area on a mirror. Once again we said we would address the issue after the holiday. When we picked up the mirror no mention of any other issues. Not until the mirror was in our shop, and several weeks later did you then come up with some plan where you wanted us to redo everything a 3rd time. At that point through email when we picked up the mirror we could already start to see you eventually would try and take this route of trying to get some money. So we had let you know when we agreed to do the mirror that once the mirror was done no further communication would be done on this job. At this point it had been over a month since delivery, and you accepted the job. We then delivered the mirror which you accepted
Now almost like clockwork exactly what we felt would happen is transpiring. Youre looking for money in the form of a refund.
We consider your job complete. Not once but twice, paid for by you and accepted by you.
Therefore we wont issue a refund, and we will not have further correspondence with you on this matter. There isnt any resolution, or amount of work that we could do where you would be satisfied, as your ultimate goal was what your asking for here
