    Artistree provides the landscaping services to our community. One of their workers recently ripped up a section of grass in between mine and my neighbors home, using a large, drive-on mower that is too big to fit in between the small area to mow properly. The grass was ripped up in chunks. I have made a previous work order asking them to stop using the larger mowers, as they will eventually cause damage. I was assured they would use the smaller ones but they did not follow through with that promise- This specific grass area is now ruined and I contacted Artistree to request they come and replace the grass. ***, the supervisor, told me they do not replace grass and went on to list possible reasons why, over time, the grass looks the way it does. He cited issues such as too much shade (Ive lived here 3 years and have never had an issue), standing water (which I do not have, I live on an incline. If *** had actually come out to see my property, he would know this.) Bed creep which he blames because his workers mistakenly spray round up on your grass instead of on the weeds in the mulch, like they are supposed to. I repeatedly told him that this particular problem of mine literally just happened and it is a direct result of using the larger sized mowers- he just cites the same scripted excuses, which he tells all of the dissatisfied customers from my community. I have had other issues in which I also got unsatisfactory responses and chose to take care of them myself at my own expense. My community *** has already fired Artistree once and they begged for another chance- the *** rehired them. Many people are still having issues and Artistree was forced to do a workshop in front of residents giving the same excuses and promising that they will do better. The workshop was the only time I have ever seen what *** looks like. In 3 years I have never seen him supervising anyone. I invited *** to come see my property and he doesnt acknowledge it or show up.

    I really wanted them to be a great selection for our community. This was not the case.I had grass in my back yard when they took over our community. They are contracted to maintain what is already there due to the previous company not doing what they were supposed to. I had grass but when they let the sprinklers malfunction, irrigation malfunction and stop mowing it all died. I have dirt in my back yard, and they have said they won't replace my grass. This community was to be 100 percent Maintenace free. ALL landscaping is done by Artistree. This was not the case. They never complete workorders, all the do is close it out. This company will not take responsibility for their lack of maintenance. This company has done nothing to maintain my yard that I pay quarterly for.

    We understand this homeowners frustration and have been communicating with him. Here is what we explained: When we took over this community, we faced many issues. Existing dead grass was the biggest. Our contract specifies that ArtisTree is responsible for all landscape maintenance services, none of which include plant or sod replacement unless we damage them from mowing or negligence. In short, we maintain what the community already has. All of this communitys issues stem from their water source, which the board and property management are well aware of. Their system works and has always worked, but the clogging of nozzles due to environmental issues (algae growth) prevents water from coming out of the nozzle and is a totally different issue. We have been and still are flushing systems to help combat this. This communitys specific problems span over a two-year period, as the homeowner stated himself in his work order to us.ArtisTree is not liable for replacing grass that was dead when we took it over. Additionally, the majority of lawns are dormant this time of year and appear brown. Most of these lawns are not dead and ******************* up in the spring. This is normal for zoysia grass. We cant emphasize this enough: When we were hired, we made it very clear that the damaged turf present in lawns would not be replaced under warranty, but our goal would instead be to make sure these damaged areas did not get bigger. The board can explain what they are currently doing to improve the irrigation system, which includes installing injection systems to chemically treat the mainlines of the growth that are clogging heads throughout the community. This will be the final step to help ensure (but not guarantee) that the system doesnt clog in the future. As long as this happens, ArtisTree is confident that this resident and the community he lives in will see improved plant and sod health.

    Let's be clear. My grass was alive and well when they took over. They keep saying it was dead when they took over. NOT TRUE. Look up the records, I submitted a work order when they took over to mow my grass in the back yard. Why would I submit a mowing work order if my grass was gone? They refuse to take responsibility and thankfully the *** is taking bids to fire Artistree.My grass was fine when they took over!! I have a work order for mowing in the back yard. Now.....due to their negligence...its dead.
