Where do I start. I purchased my first car in 2022. A man named *** was the one to help me at Venice Honda. I went in not knowing much as Ive never purchased a car before. At the time, my father was dying which was my reasoning for needing a car, to take him to and from his appointments. My father went with me on the day I bought the car, but was too sick to get out of the car so he sat in his while I negotiated. *** asked if I had anyone to co-sign or help with more money down. I replied with no. He then looked at my father in the car outside and said ask him and I said no, my father was dying and I wasnt bringing him into anything. *** said okay and we continued to talk. A few minutes later *** excused himself and the next thing I see is him sitting in my dads car talking to him!!! After I specifically told him not to. I decided to let that go as I really needed a vehicle and didnt want to start over somewhere else. *** finds me a 2019 Nissan Versa. He tells me its reliable and a good first time car. I said okay as I didnt know any different. This car has been one **** show after another. The service department looked at my car and fixed something ONCE and every other time my calls get ignored or brushed off. The deal I was given with this car was bad. I have to let them repo it just to get out from under it. And I know the GM will come back like he has with everyone elses complaint on here and say I knew what I was agreeing too but I didnt. I dont expect people to be slimy. I expected honesty and help and truthfully when he spoke to my dad after I said not I should have raised **** The place is garbage. The GM clearly knows that with how defensive hes getting with all the reviews. Once this shitbag lemon of a car gets repoed Ill find an HONEST dealership to help me where people arent crooked and so money hungry theyll do anything for a sale. Shame on all of you,Review from M. We apologized as this was not done intentionally. We offered to pay for gas or give them an additional ******* off any car they chose. After the names they called our female sales representative they should be ashamed. I can't even post them here. We are happy that we will not be doing business this person.Customer Response

Completely untrue they are liars and deceiving people. They never once offered to pay for gas. If you read their reviews, you can see that they have done this multiple times to multiple people do not recommend to anyone.Review from Lucy L

These people are scammers and rude. We went to buy a car and they:1. Had two trade ins on the paper, when we only brought one. They said no big deal because it's the right VIN.2. Wouldn't even let us LOOK at the payment breakdown 3. Said that 72 & 84 mo financing payments are the same 4. Basically gave us a fake deal and said we had to sign then or else the deal would go up by $1500 & wouldn't include his "special rate" (which, the banks determine the rate, not him) 5. The manager said "we can hide numbers"6. Was overall mean, not just rude, mean! 0/10 worst car buying experience everReview from Samuel P

Heartbreaking First Car Experience We recently purchased a new Honda Civic Sport from Venice Honda, and the experience has left me utterly disappointed and heartbroken. My sister, who had saved up diligently for six years to purchase her dream car, was excited beyond words. However, our joy turned into tears as we discovered a significant issue with the front paint that was never disclosed to us during the purchase. The car, which was supposedly brand new with only 5 miles, had a noticeable difference in the front paint. It has left us questioning whether the car was previously damaged or had undergone a repaint without our knowledge. This discovery not only shattered my sister's excitement for her first car but also made the entire buying experience a nightmare. To make matters worse, the Sales Manager, *************************, not only failed to provide satisfactory answers but also gave us false promises and prolonged the situation unnecessarily. The lack of transparency and professionalism displayed by the dealership is disheartening.During our attempt to address the issue, ******************** abruptly ended a phone call by saying, "You know what I can do for you," leaving us without any resolution or clarity on the matter. This level of customer service is unacceptable, and it reflects poorly on the dealership's commitment to customer satisfaction.I strongly advise potential buyers to reconsider purchasing from Venice Honda. Our experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and it pains me to think that others may go through similar ordeals. A car purchase, especially a first one, should be a joyous occasion, but thanks to this dealership, it has become a heartbreaking memory for my sister. In conclusion, I would caution anyone considering buying from Venice Honda to think twice and explore other options with more transparent and customer-centric practices.Review from George C

Venice Honda is a very shady dealership! Bad reviews left and right with this place! There are almost 15 bad reviews from this year alone from dealer rater. And another 25 bad reviews from them on google reviews. That’s about 40 bad reviews in just 6 months! This doesn't account for the people that didn't leave reviews. There are 78 negative reviews of this dealership on Yelp netting them a 2 star rating. And there’s a pretty common theme. Dishonesty! Do not trust this dealership! Do not trust **** the sales manager! Do not trust **** the general manager! They use the bait and switch tactic. I understand why dealerships would do this but they knew I was driving an hour and a half to the dealership for this trade for this specific vehicle. When I get there it just mysteriously disappeared. I actually inquired about it over a week ago and didn't like the numbers. I passed on it and I wasn't even considering it anymore. Out of the blue, **** had her assistant **** call me and gave me all the numbers. I was happy. She told me the car would be waiting for me when I got there. When I get there it's gone. They deliberately got me to drive an hour and a half to their dealership knowing full well that they were gonna pull this on me. After their charade, **** (one of the store managers) has one other option where I can spend $6000 more than I was prepared to spend for a brand new Ridgeline (not the color nor model I wanted). Classic bait and switch! I wouldn't be so upset if I lived locally but I drove an hour and a half to them. They knowingly did this. They claim it was a mistake. To get the vehicle ready while I drove there, they had an hour and a half to locate this vehicle. They could have called me and said Hey turn back we don't have it here. Instead they let me drive the entire way. Now because of traffic I have to spend 2 hours to get back home. This wasted my entire afternoon. Do not trust this dealership! Very very shady!Review from Michael F.

Agreed on a price online, spoke with online manager stopped in to dealer. They did show me msrp and $500 discount. Then after wasting an hour talking looking at vehicle when paperwork came from manager they wanted an additional $899 dealer fee which is acceptable, However then wanted another $2999 as that is what the market bears price? Then they wanted to negotiate again. I would not waste my time with unscrupulous people. They should be investigated for their practices. I see there is over 8 complaints from people who took there own time to write on BBB. Good Luck Venice Honda, I hope to see you at your auction sale someday.Venice Honda Response

No price was agreed to online. MSRP is listed online which is crossed out and the 500.00 voucher is honored. The 2999.00 "market adjustment" covers transport (1000.00) as we had to go to Georgia to get this truck because we were sold out of them at the time. It also covers complete window tint package mud guard package all weather mats lifetime aquapel windshield treatment. Mr. ****** stormed out of the dealership very upset and we were unable to speak with him regarding the matter.Customer Response

It seems that the owner of Venice Honda must hire someone to respond to all their complaints to BBB.
I do not want to bicker and sound as insecure as whoever writes for the dealership. However the comment I got directly is "that is what the market bears"
I believe in full disclosure, if you would have been told that upfront I would not have had a problem. The day afterward a manager called me and said that I did not know what I was talking about, and he did not care as he was going to sell the vehicle regardless. Real piece of work
