I ordered an Edible Arrangement to be delivered to my mother in ********** on Mother's Day. Not only was the order not delivered on Mother's Day, it was never delivered at all. I called and emailed multiple times to request a refund but have gotten no response. I want my money back, but also I want to prevent this business from doing the same thing to other unsuspecting people. These arrangements aren't cheap!Initial Complaint

On 11/27 I placed an order w/ Edible Arrangements to deliver a fruit bouquet to my husband who is working in ********* **. The delivery was for the following day 11/28 for his birthday. I entered the delivery address as a "Business". I provided my husband's cell phone # in case they needed to contact him. The website took my payment details & confirmed to me via e-mail that my order would be delivered the following day. We live in TN so I wanted to surprise my husband on his birthday since he had to be out of town. Nothing was delivered on 11/28. I received an e-mail telling me they would deliver the next day 11/29. No reason was given & no telephone call was made to me or my husband. The morning of 11/29 at 9am I called the store directly in **********. They assured me it would be delivered that day. No apology. I had to tell my husband to look out for the delivery since now it wasn't a surprise as his birthday has passed. At 5:30pm on 11/29 my husband receives a telephone call from the store asking him if they could deliver it at that time. His office was closed & he was out with friends, so he told them it was too late. The store then said they would try the next day which would be TWO days after his birthday. I once again called the local store the next morning (11/30) and expressed my dissatisfaction. Still no apology. They said it would be delivered that day 11/30. A few hours later I got a call from my husband saying the order had been delivered. I asked if they apologized & he said "no" - they just said Happy Birthday (two days late). I did file a complaint in the "contact me" form on the website for Edible Arrangements - and I got an automatic reply saying someone would be contacting me. No one has ever contacted me & no one has ever apologized & no one has ever offered a refund or any compensation for messing up the surprise for my husband's birthday. My order number #W1009711363-1. Case reference number from online complaint #*******. $110.98 paid.Business response

Zyteria from Edible Arrangements stated that they were super busy on 11/28/23 so they called to let her know and made sure the 11/30 was okay and the consumer agreed. That was the day the arrangements were delivered and received. Due to this, the consumer is not eligible for a refund.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: The response is a lie! No one from Edible Arrangements contacted me at any time and asked if the delivery could be delayed. And I would never have agreed to a delay. It was supposed to be a SURPRISE birthday gift. Since it arrived two days after my husband's birthday it was deemed an "after thought'!We live in ********* and my husband was working in ********* on business. He was staying in staff housing, so delivery at his work place was the location provided on the order. I provided my husband's cell telephone number so he could be called if there was an issue finding the location of the business.
He did eventually get the product but not on the day of the event/birthday and it was not a surprise as intended - so a 50% refund seems reasonable. Or I would accept a $100 gift card to be used at my local Edible Arrangements here in *********.
Honestly ... because of the delay of the delivery, I would have thought that Edible Arrangements would have (pro-actively) offered an apology and offered a gift card for a future purchase .... or something ... anything!! Even a heartfelt apology alone would have stopped me from filing this complaint. But I got nothing from them due to them not completing the order as agreed.
