I hired IRC movers to move my household belongings on November 26, 2022. Three men came and packed up the truck (belongings were mostly in boxes except furniture). They had to unplug the electric recliner couch. They took a prolonged lunch break and showed up at my new home smelling like alcohol. I called *****, owner of the company and informed him. He deducted 1/2 hour from the moving time. The next day I realized I had no plug for the couch. I called ***** first thing Monday morning and he said he would talk to the guys. When he called me back, he told me they had put it in a box. I explained all the boxes were empty and there was no plug. After several more calls he told me to get the price and he would reimburse me. The plug was $122.00, and I told him. He requested the receipt which I sent to him on Dec. 1, 2022. He replied, "I received it Thank you". On the 19th I sent him a message asking when I would be reimbursed, and he did not answer me. I also called after the message. I also called him on the 20th, and he asked me to resend the receipt and he would put the check in the mail the next day. Again, I sent the receipt via message, and he replied "Got it thank you! I called on the 28th twice and left him voice messages with no response. In spite of voice messages, text messages and phone calls I have not yet received the check. I am disabled on a limited income and have lymphedema so elevating my legs is a must for me.
